Happy Easter

First, I want to wish you a Happy Easter.

  May this be a memorable Easter as you celebrate with family and friends as you gather around the dinner table today.

Friday it was back to the Florida Cancer Center to have my blood drawn and check my platelet numbers.

The platelet level is still going down, so the Oncologist says to take a pill every other day.

Nancy, Vicki and I will spend a quiet day today and have dinner here at the house.

Nancy knows that I like to much on the food all day long, so it is dinner in today.

Besides it is still March Madness going on with a couple of college basketball games today.

Watching basketball games.

 Last Friday it was off to the Florida Cancer Center to have my blood drawn so they could check my platelet count,

Once again it is still falling.

The nurse came out to tell me she has to check with the doctor to see what he wants to do.

In a short time, she says that the doctor said to not take my pills and we will see what it is in a week.

I think the doctor is like me in wanting the platelet count to start going up without taking any medicine to do it.  We shall see Friday.

I have been watching my share of the March Madness basketball games and what a crazy year it is with a bunch of the lower deeds beating the higher seeds.

They already know no one has got the eventual winner.

Out Relaxing

 Saturday, I felt pretty good so I ask Vicki if she would like to go out a bit and she did so off we went.

We went to a park close to the house but first there was a thrift shop along the way so we stopped to see if there was anything that we needed.

There was a table outside that I thought looked good enough to take home but the draw was hanging down on it so I thought I would on it.  About that time the guy working at the shop said all the stuff setting out front of the shop was free.

Just my price so it went home with us where I looked at it and I had it repair and in good shape.

                                                                                    

A bargain is hard to pass up.             

                                                                         

First was the Brasher Park, its a nice small park with a couple of picnic tables, a couple of long benches to sit along the Gulf waters.

                                                                                   

Also there were some people fishing, and a few in there kayaks just in water paddling along enjoying the day. 

There was a guy that had his dog there that Vicki had to pet and play with.

At one point it looked as though the dog was wanting Vicki to go in the water it.

Doctor and more

 Sherry and Mark left at 7:00 AM yesterday morning going back home in West Virginia.

I had to get my blood drawn again at the Florida Cancer Center to check my Platelet levels.

I still feel good, so it was kind of a disappointment that my platelets had fallen down 53 in numbers.

The nurse talked to the Oncologist, and he said to still hold off on taking my medicine and see what the numbers would be in another week.

If the number fall any lower, he will have to put me back on the medicine.

After I was through with checking out at the Cancer Center, I was off to Sam's Club to get a few things we needed.

After supper, watching a little tv I laid down for a little nap.

After the nap it was only a short time to watch College Basketball.

The team Vicki and I were watching and wanted to win was one of the teams that were upset for the day.

 Mark, Sherry's husband will be here today as he is arriving from West Virginia by car to take Sherry back with him in a couple of days.

Sherry usually takes a plane to go back but Mark was wanting a short vacation and enjoy their time together going back home.

Vicki will be here tomorrow as the girls think we need to have someone with us.

Nancy and I have improved very much in the last few months.

We are doing things around the house that a few months ago we were not able to do.

Friday's Doctor visit

 Yes, it was back to have blood drawn Friday to see how the platelets were doing without taking the medicine to keep them in check.  Without the medicine for seven days the platelet level drop a small amount, so the oncologist said to not to take the medicine for another week to see if it might start going up on its own.

As far as how I'm feeling, I have been feeling really good.  Lik I feel a little stronger now as the passing of each day.  I'm beginning to do a small number of things that I had not feel like doing.  

Nancy is also doing a little better and she has almost quit using her oxygen.

She is still week nut she is trying to do a small number of things around the house.

Alls looking good.

 Nancy had to be at the hospital at 10:00 AM Friday and they didn't take her into the surgery room until 12:00 PM because they had more patients that needed the surgery room.

When they did take her, it was a short until she was back and awake.

After checking her vital signs to see how she was doing she was ready to go home in around half an hour.

In the meantime, I had my blood drawn, talked to my Oncologist.

My platelet numbers were up so he says to not take the medicine for a week and see what's happens. 

Then we will move on from there.

Busy morning today.

 The good news is that Nancy is off of oxygen and has for a couple of days.

I will be taking her to the hospital early this morning because her heart is beating to fast it's in defib and the Cardiologist is going to shock her heart to beat normal.

While she is doing that, I will be in the next building having my blood drawn again and to see how my Oncologist how my platelet level is.

So it will be a busy morning for us.
