The day after

I hope all of you had a great Christmas day and got some of the things that you wanted.  Some will have gifts that they will have to exchange. The stores will be crowded once again,so it might be the best to wait a few days to return that gift for exchange.
Anyway now we have to get back to doing the things that we did before getting excited about Christmas.  Those that are going to your place of work be careful and don't be daydreaming of the good time you had of being off work for Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Christmas Day

I want to wish everyone of you a very Merry Christmas on this very special day.
I hope you will have a good time with your family and those people you are with today.
Nancy had an appointment with the doctor at the spine clinic yesterday. He told her that she really needed an operation, but he was afraid to do it because of her kidney problems as she is in stage 4 of kidney failure. So he will try doing some other things to ease her pain.
After that we stopped into Walmart to get a few "goodies"to snack on. From there it was to the roadside fruit and vegetable stand. Then it was time to eat and that was to Bob Evans where I had a coupon for buy one get one free dinner. Gota love those coupons.
The rest of the evening was just relaxing watching tv(me) and in the big easy chair(Nancy)on the computer.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Almost Christmas time

Its looking like Christmas around the park with all the lights that are up on the street.
If you have lights up watch so you won't overload the circuit.  I think thats what I did. Even though I had less lights than the previous years. Last night we were watching tv and everything went off. So I go out to check the breaker, sure enough the breaker had done what it was suppose to do. I flipped the breaker on and nothing came on,but out of the corner of my eye I saw a flash under the house. Wow,the breaker didn't kick off but we didn't have power. we only have 30 amps on the little place so I thought the main line had shot into. So I turned the breaker off and said that is work for tomorrow. Checking it out this morning,it was in the main line. Whoever did the wiring left the original plug on the wiring and added a short wire with a 30amp receptacle and just plugged it up. That worked for a short time but finally got too hot and shorted out.
I cut out the wiring and did a hard splice of the wiring,so everything is ok now.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Absolutely nothing

The title of the blog is about what is happening.  You know its like just sitting and watching the grass grow. Or maybe in a small town going down to the street corner and watching the traffic light change colors.
The cool weather has finally made it down to Florida. The last few mornings it has been down in the high 40's with tomorrow morning the same. Of course it comes up to near 70 during the day so not real bad. By the weekend it will be back to the 80's so not complaining here(well maybe a little).
The park is still filling up with the rv,s coming in and  the people in the park models arriving each day.
I was browsing around the stores the other day and noticed that quite a few of the new electric space heater didn't have a thermostat on them. Just a low-high heat setting knob. I don't think that would be a very good type of heater.  Turn it on to heat and after heating turn it back off, then back on after the room got cool. Hey wait a minute that would be a good way to spend a cool day. Naw I can think of better ways to spend a day.
Here is a photo of the quarter moon I took a couple of weeks ago. I took it with the old Samsung HMX-H100NXAA HD camcorder I got off ebay. I used the digital zoom that is on the camera without any added telephoto lens.
Thanks for stopping and have a great day.

Doctor Follow-up

We have just been doing the everyday things that you people are doing.  Going to the store every couple of days.
Yesterday was our pizza day and once again the Little Caesar's "Hot and Ready" pizza was not very good. The guy that owns the pizza place also has 4 other Little Caesar Pizza restaurants. I told him about the pizza's that I was getting and he said he had been getting other complaints on that location. After that we bought a couple more and they were real good until yesterday.
We to the doctor to have a follow-up on our MRI's and my bloodwork. Everything on my bloodwork was good and the MRI showed I have arthritis and tendonitis. So its just pain and nothing major.
Nancy's MRI on her spine is about the same thing she had an operation for 25 years ago. She has   degenerative spine disease resulting in a pinched nerve, which will no doubt require another operation.
The weather here is cooling off a bit and the people in the park are putting up their lights for Christmas so it is looking nice to walk around and seeing all the lights.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Weekend stuff

Friday Nancy took back the blood pressure monitor that she wore for 24 hours. While we were out we went up to the flea market to buy some vegetables.
Then we went to Green Key beach to sit on a bench and enjoy the sun and warm breeze.
From there I had to go to Walmart to get a few things while Nancy remained in the car because by that time she was tired.
Yeserday was game day for me. I watched a couple of good college football games.

So So

Hello there, yeah I'm still kicking. Mostly the same things have been happing. Wenesday Nancy and I both had and MRI.  Her back and my shoulder. She has had pain for year and didn't want to maybe go through an operation again. She had an operation 30 years ago,but her pain is so bad she decided anything that would help she will try it.
Nancy went to her new kidney doctor also on wednesday and she likes the different doctor. One thing she like about the new doctor is she can understand her very well. So we shall she how this works out.
This is the morning that greeted us several days ago. The sun came out and the fog disappeared soon after.  Our temps are in the high 70's and low 80's for the next week. So its good to been in Florida this time of year.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Day After

I guess everyone is full from their Thanksgiving dinner?  Now come the leftovers for sandwiches and snacks throughout the day while watching the games on the tv. Or maybe you are one of the people that are going to be Black Friday shopping most of the day? Whatever your choices are just be careful and don't go overboard.
I will be one of the couch potatoes today. Snacking on the leftovers from the great meal Nancy had for us. Roasted chicken, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, deviled eggs, green  beans, dressing, gravy, craneberry sauce and dinner rolls. That topped off with pumpkin and pecan pie.
I told Nancy that was a dinner fit for a king.
I thank you all my blog friends for taking the time to visit my blog.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Happy Thanksgiving

WE wish everyone a Happy and safe Thanksgiving Day.
Nancy and I were going to go out to eat today, but at the last minute changed our mind. She got to thinking how crowded the restaurants ould be and the weather turning cold. I was thinking how good a table of food would be there for me all day to eat and snack on. So just the two of us we will subsitute a roasted chicken instead of a turkey. That with all the sides and a couple of pies will be very good.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Rain and windy

We had a good weekend,I watched the college basketball and football games. Nancy and I did the regular weekend cleaning of the house.
Sunday we did go to church, which is a real treat for Nancy when she is able to go. After church went went to Souix City Steakhouse for their after church dinner special. We had the roast pork dinner special for $6.99.
Today the weather is all bad. Just like everyone on the east coast is having. We are getting rain all day and by this evening it will have a turn for heavy wind and maybe a tornado.  So that means we will be hunkered down inside most of the day.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Doctor

Wednesday:
We went up to the bookstore on route 41 again to trade the bunch of books that Nancy has.  Once more the book store was closed and it looks as though it has closed and will not be opened. I guess that maybe they did not get enough people wanting books to read. Also on the way we noticed that several restaurants and one motel has closed. There seems to be enough traffic on the road, but maybe it is local traffic. I see this happening when we travel the two lane roads that used to be the main through way.
While we were out we decided it would be a good time to do some walking. So I took The walker out of the car to make it easy for Nancy to do her walking.
We went on the trail that was paved. Which was better for Nancy as she was pushing the walker.
They have a small flower garden, which was nice.
Yesterday:
We went to the doctor. I've get to have an MRI on my right shoulder because it has been hurting for a year and a half. The doc says I may have a pulled tendon.
Nancy numbers on her kidneys are lower and the doc told her not to worry because the numbers would go up and down with each blood sample they check. He said she was holding her own with her bad kidneys. She is also going to have an MRI of her spine to see if she can have something done to ease the back pain she has all the time.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Not very much

Just speding the time catching up on the small things that have to be repaired aroud the house.
I did get around to staining and putting a couple of clear coats on the wood threshold in the bedroom. Then nailing it in place after it dried.
We went to Walmart to get a few things yesterday. Then it was to Save A Lot for some cans of different vegetables.  The cans are cheaper there then what Walmart has them for.
Today Nancy said she needed a haircut so she was there a cople of hours because she wanted to get a curly perm. She used to have her hair this way a few years back and wanted to try it again.
I'm enjoying the college basketball games again at least three times a week and more.

A few things

The weather has turned to the cooler side the last couple of days. Yesterday morning it was 50°.
Yeah I know you are saying that you wished it was that warm where you are. But when you get used to the warm temperatures and it goes down to 50,then it is cold.
Yesterday we had to get out so Nancy could get her bloodwork.  She will see the doctor next week to see how her numbers are doing.
After that we stopped to have breakfast at Susies. Its a nice small place with lots of customers.  With the good prices they have on their menu they stay busy.  I had two eggs, two sausage pattys and hash brown potatoes with toast for $3.75.  That price with good food and quick service is hard to beat.
I will have to find something to do inside today as it is supposed to rain.

Thanks for stoping by and I hope you have a great day.

John Chesnut Park

Yesterday we took the time to go down to John Chesnut Park to do a little walking.  This is one our favorite parks because it is beside of Tarpon Lake and is a cooler walk when the weather is warm.
We saw several alligators on this walk. Sometimes we don't see any but they are there. This one was around four foot long.

Someone floating along in a sail boat. Not many boats on the lake yesterday.

This person water sking just went under. I don't think I would be in the water with a lake full of alligators. Although we have never heard of anyone being attacked by a gator in the lake.

We enjoyed a few of the wildflowers that were out and beautiful.

We were not the only ones enjoying the flowers. The bee looks like it was finding a little time to enjoy the flower.
As usual we enjoyed the time out relaxing and doing the walking that Nancy is able to do.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Enough said for today.

This 'N' That

Thursday we went to the book store on route 41 where Nancy likes to trade her books. I loaded up seven Walmart bags of books and off we went. When we got to the book store it was closed. A note on the door said the owner was at a speaking ingagement. So we came back a different way. We had a nice little ride anyway.
I spent a few hour scrubbing on the side of the ouse yesteday. The green mold settles very fast and needs cleaning each year.
Also yesterday was a trip to Walmart. I don't know why we went on a friday evening because it is more crowded on that day?  We did manage to get trough without to much time in the checkout line. This Walmart has around eight self chckouts, which I never use. One end of the store only had one checkout open. I think they do this to encourage people to check themselves out. It doesn't do that for me I only get angry. Maybe I need the angry management thing?
Yesterday started my time of the year with the college basball games starting.  I don't know if Kentuckyshould be ranked number one or not after watching some more of the teams play.
We will find out tuesday as they will be playing number two Michingan State.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

This old house.

Yeah this old house needs a lot of work. I've been busy since we arrived here in September and have gotten quite a bit the work that needed to be done. So there are just some of the small things now and it sure feels good.  Some of the vinyl sheets that I put on the florida room a few years ago had shrunk up from the sun,so I had to redo them.  I knock over a lamp that was sitting on an end table while I was doing the work. No big deal since it was free from the park mall that we have here. I will just have to wait until some brings another one to the mall.
The mall here at the park is good for everone here on the park.  The way it works is if you have something that you want to get rid of that someone might be able use it,instead of throwing it in the depumster use take it to the mall. There were some nice end tables, drinking glasses, dishes and even a two drawer file cabinet that looked new complete with the keys.
The squirrels look like they have put on some weight since I have been back and putting out the bird seeds.
Nancy and I enjoyed a good grilled porkchop dinner yesterday. I grilled the porchops and she did the sides.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

A few treats

The days are just passing by without anything exciting happening. I guess that is the way the average life is suppose to be,just living one day at a time.
We did get down to the Phillippe Park by the bay yesterday to do a little walking.
We actually went to the Quality Sausage House to get us some treats. This is in North Safety Harbor run by a Hungarian family. Besides Hungarian meats they also have German,Polish and meats of other countries. It is a real treat for me because I grew up eating the things they have. One thing that all the kids enjoyed when the families would kill a hog is and fry Teperto. That is deep fried pieces of bacon that is somewhat like pork rinds. I also got paprika bacon. Nancy always picks the nut roll.

The walking is nice under the trees and the cool breeze coming in off the bay water.

Always the nice to see the flowers.
The butterflies always enjoy the flowers.

This fella daid he hadn't caught anything yet,but he was there only a short time. I would say that he would soon catch one because the fish were jumping for minnows all over the place.

It was a nice day to be out enjoying all that is put here for us.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Project finished

The flooring project is finished. The carpet is gone and the flooring finished just like Nancy wanted. She says I don't want the carpet I want the bare flooring.  Guess what?  Today she says we are going to get rugs for the new floor. Huh, you don't what the carpet, you want the bare floor, now you want to cover it up. Can't figure that one out. Oh well.
We do have to go to get some groceries since I was busy this past week and we didn't do any shopping the cupboards are kinda empty.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

More work

Just taking care of a project that Nancy has wanted for a while.
That is taking the carpet out of the bedroom and installing laminate wood. It really had to be done because we had a soft spot in the floor so that needs to be repaired and then it looks like a 1000 staples needs pulling out. Always something to do.
Here is a gopher tortoise that was walking in the park the other day. The poor fella looks like it had an accident with that hole in the top of the shell.

When we were visiting my brother Nick he gave me a couple of banana trees that I planted three weeks ago. It looks like they have taken root. I keep a lot of water on them so maybe they will grow.
Well back to the floor project.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Water ring?

Not a lot going on at the old folks home.  We are just doing the stuff that folks do with going to the store for groceries and eating out every now and then.
Its really been to hot to be outside,so its a good time to enjoy the comfort of the airconditioner.
Of course with my camera always in my pocket there is time to take a photo or two.  This one is from when we went to Green Key Beach the other day.

I know you have seen smoke rings. I'll bet you have not seen to many water rings. This water ring is from a drop of water falling into a can of water and bouncing back up forming the ring.

Today another saturday and another full day of watching college football games.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

A little walking

It was football games and a little walking this past weekend.
We went out to J B Starkey Park which is close to the house. We walked along the short boardwalk that provided us with shade.
There are a couple of orange trees along the way.  The oranges are green, but it will not be very long before the are ripe.
Also a few wildflowers that are in full bloom. Always some kind of wildflowers wherever you walk here in Florida.
At the end of the boardwalk is the start of the withlacoochee river that is overflowing its banks.
With Nancy still feeling weak we can only walk for a short time and distance.  We are thankful that she can do as much as she can.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Beach

Being the camera nut I am I got another camera the other day. Its actually a Samsung HD HMX-100NCamcorder. It isn't new, about four years old and a little used. I got it off Ebay with having the highest bid. They are still selling online for ones that are refurbished for $200.00. So I think I got a deal at $21.00 including shipment.
Here is a photo I took with it on the photo setting.
I was back at the Flea Market yesterday. All I bought was tomatoes and cucumbers.

They sell this Kettle Korn, but I didn't buy any.

Nancy and I went out to Green Key Beach to do some walking on the boardwalk, but it the boardwalk was closed. It was torn down and they are building a new one. We still enjoyed our time there until the bugs started biting us.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Sunny Florida

Things are the same here.  I did get to the motorhome to check the house batteries to see if they needed water. They did and I filled them with distilled water. The solar panels keeps them charged up and I've got to remember to keep a check on the water.
The park has had a few people coming in for the winter. In the next few weeks is when more will be in.
Nancy has a doctor appointment today. He will no doubt have her to have blood work before he can tell her how she is doing. He is very cautious about her medication because of her kidneys.
We have a cool morning of 67 degrees and a sunny blue sky day to start off with. The temps are cooling but still 86 is the high for today.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Another camera

I've been checking out Craigslist for a camera. The Nikon Coolpix that I had doesn;t work any more.
I found out the hard way that you shouldn't carry a point and shoot camera in your jeans pocket. Some how it got turned on and when the lens tried to extend it broke something so now it is scrap.
I did find someone wanting to sale two Canon Powershot A840 for $18.00 each. He said they both were in working order.  So I went over to Wesley Chapel some 25 miles to get them.  I asked how he could sell at that price when the stores they are selling for around $100.00. He things that have been returned, factory defects and estate sales. These were just the camera's without the acessories. He showed me they worked so I took both of them. One is good and the other one the preview button doesn't work but it takes good photos. So now I have a spare.
Of course yesterday was the all day watching college football day.
Here is the small, but crowded restaurant where we eat on sundays after church.
Nancy is doing about the same, but she is trying harder.
Thanks for stopping by and have a grat day.

Everyday life

We are just living the everyday life so I'm not posting every day.
Nancy got her a haircut tuesday. She has been going to "Great Clips" where she has had the same lady cut her hair for the last six years, but the lady has left and Nancy doesn't know where she is located now.  So Nancy went to "Hot Heads" to have it cut this time.
Yesterday we went to Sam's Club to do our walking inside in the air conditions place. It is to hot for us to walk outside.  Of course walking around in Sam's we saw a few thing's to buy.
We also got our flu and shingles shot at Walgreens.
I'm still slowly cutting tree branches and cutting weeds.  Can't work very long out in the hot weather.
I watched the Rays baseball game last night. I never watch baseball until the playoffs.
Today will be more of the same today.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Same stuff.

Things are about the same as they always are when we get back from our summer trip. Cleaning inside of the house and most of the time is spent getting rid of the overgrown weeds out back. I don't know how weeds and trees can grown so much in a few months but they do. The trees like the park model so much that they grow out over it. Why can't they grow the other way?
Nancy felt good enough to go to church yesterday so that was good. The service with the sermon and singing was good.  After church we stopped at Caposey's the small friendly resteraurant to have our dinner. It is nice to have a restaurant like this when everyone and the people that wait on the tables are all talking with each other.
Well its to more of the same today!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Rain every day

We have had rain  everyday and I haven't had a chance to do much outside work. I really need to get all the weeds cut, with all the rain the weeds are looking like small trees.
We have been doing inside work though.  So I will just have to do the outside when I can.
At least nothing has been breaking down like it was in the motorhome and I'm very glad of that.
Nancy made a good beef stew in the crock pot tuesday and as usual I ate more than I should have.
Yesterday we had the Pizza Hut special. The large one topping pizza for $6.55. We chose the pan crust and I think Nancy is the one that had to much the eat this time.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Parked again

We left Cain's Riverside Park friday and drove to Brezzy Oaks Park in Bushnell for the night. It is a short drive down to Orchid Lake RV Resort but we don't like to get into our park late so we stop and then the next day we can get there early.
We usually park in a site next to the house at our park and then take several days to empty the motorhome. But to our surprise there was a camper in the site so we parked in front of the house to unload the things out of the motorhome.  We walked back and forth unloading and unloading most of the day so I could park the motorhome in the spot they for the campers. Needless to say Nancy and I have not had to work so much in a very long time. By the time we were ready for bed we were beat.
There are still a few things that we have to get from the motorhome from time to time.
I think it will take a day or two or three to get rested up.
Man its tough getting old.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Relaxing and visiting

We left Nick and Joann's house around noon tuesday for the drive down to Cain's Riverside Campground Which is a Passport America Park in Hihara. If you don't have the Passport America Membership you should get it,the parks are one-half price and it pays for itself the first couple of times you use it.
After being on I-75 for a short distance and seeing so many trucks I had to get on route 41 going south. I'm glad I did because we went through the small towns and saw some of the small mom and pop motels. Some of which were out of business with the old signs still hanging in front. We also stopped at a large Farmer's Market.
People if you want to see something besides that long boring interstate get on the two lane roads.
We can only see Jeremy,Allison and the kids in the evenings as they have to work and the kids are in school during the day. We will be going out for dinner with the gang this evening which will be nice and kinda sad because we are leaving tomorrow heading on south. We have enjoyed our time here visitng once again.
This is the last scheduled family visit for this year. We have really enjoyed going to each of the family's house and staying awhile visiting. We do love our family.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Moving again

Not much going on.  I did find time to wash the motorhome and it was in the hot weather again, but it needed washing. It also needs buffing out but I don't know when that will happen,
Nick and I also went out to several grocery stores.
Our time here is over and we will be leaving today when we are ready.
We will be visiting our grandson, his wife Allison and the two great-grand kids,Andy and Hannah down in Valdosta.

Problem taken care of

I last left you as I was having trouble with a waterfall coming from the back bedroom air conditioner.
So friday I climbed on top of the motorhome. The first thing to do was to remove about 12 screw so I could remove the shroud to have a look, everything looked normal so far. Then I took the  evaporator coil cover off and I could see the problem. The evaporator coil was very dirty even though I had changed the filter two or three times during the summer. Time out here to say that the coil should be cleaned at least every year or two, which I didn't do. I guess I was lucky that all happened was the water coming in. A coil that gets plugged up causes the motor to labor and eventually may burn the motor up. So I cleaned the coil blew it out with a blower. Assembled everything back up and back down the ladder to try it. The air conditioner now has no water leaking inside, sounds better and is cooling better so another problem taken care of.
Let me say here and now this is not a problem you want to work on when the sun is shining and the temp is 90 and you are 75 years of age or older.
Yesterday My brother Nick and I went up to Smiley's Flea Market. Nick found a couple of things that he was looking for but I didn't see a thing I couln't do without. We got back arounf 3:30 and watched a football game for the rest of the evening.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

What "another problem"

After being at the National Forest Campground on Lake Sinclair for a week it was time to move on.

There was one lone fisherman that I saw on the lake yesterday morning.
I wanted to fill up the motorhome in Milledgeville because looking at Gasbuddy it had some of the cheapest gas in the state.  I stopped at the kroger and with the kroger card it was 3.05 a gallon for the 87 octane which I use in the motorhome.
Some hour and a half we were parked in my brother Nick's yard. We will be here a few days visiting again. As always no plans on how long we will be staying. Oh,as things have been going this trip. Before going into their house Nancy turned on the back air conditioner and upon returning some hours later Nancy walks to the back bedroom and yells "Joe" come here.  I never like it when she does it that way.  I go back to see we have a waterfall coming from the air condition and onto an already soaked bed.  So as been happening this trip, another stop another problem.
Guess what I will be doing today?

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Hanging Loose

Things are coming along very well on the small projects that I wanted to get finished before getting back to Florida and parking the motorhome.
This is our site. Even though it is mostly shady I still have an opening through the trees to get a clear view where we can have the satellite channels. The channels on the house top antenna come and go so we do not have the local channels.
I even got a chance to do a small hike through the woods which felt good. I always like to get out in the forest when I can.
There are some small wild flowers growing around the camp sites. I mean small, this one is about the size of my finger nail on my little finger.
We are keeping an eye on "Humberto" the storm is exlected to be a hurricane later today.  We sure don;t want to be in Florida with a hurricane headed that way.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Working on a few things

We left out of Pigeon Forge thursday, got on route 411 heading east until we connected to I-40. I took exit 27 off of I-40 which was route 74 west until it connected to route 441 going south.  I called it a day just north of Clayton,Georgia at the Cross Creek Campgound that is a Passport America member for a couple of nights. I met another guy that was original from West Virginia. We had a nice short chat, I should have written his name down as I have forgotten it. I'm sorry about that and if you read this please leave a comment.
Tuesday we got as far as Cornelia where I pulled into the Walmart unhooked the car and drove out to Lake Russell.  I wanted to check out the National Forest Campground out by the lake. It is a nice campground without hookups,it does have a dump station. Then getting back to Walmart hooking the car on and moving on down 441 to Eatonton to route 129 and following route 129 to route 212 over to Sinclair Lake to the National Forest Campground where we have stayed many times. There are five electric sites and we were lucky enough to find an open site.
I have no plans of how long we will be here as I have several projects to work on with the motorhome that need to be taken care of and it is cool enough under the shade of the trees to do them.  I have put the Eternabond Tape on the front and back cap so now that will eliminate the need to do any caulking as the tape has a warranty of ten years.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Traveling On

Well another Family Reunion has come and gone all to fast.
Everyone seem to enjoy the get together the ranged in age from 3 t0 81.
Well it didn't look like Cami was at the moment. Maybe she was told to settle down and you know how a 3 year old likes to be still.
Don at 81 doesn't like to set still either.
We had the grilled hamburgers and hot dogs with slaw,mac/chesse on the side saturday.
Saturday evening the park had karaoke and the kids enjoyed showing their talent.
Some of the little ones suprised me on how well they can sing.
Sunday Don brought another good sermon.  After that we had a couple of hour before we had our covered dish dinner and this is always so good. There was so many different items that they don't make plates large enough to hold it all.
We left Pigeon Forge just before noon and are in Clayton,Georgia at the Cross Creek RV Park. We will stay here a couple of days to check and see whats in the area. We have passed through when we used to vacation in Florida years ago.  We did spend a night in the Days Inn motel one time but that was it.  The way we travel now we have the time and if we want to see more of the area we do it.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Moving Day

We have not been doing anything special or exciting.  A few trips to Walmart and Food City for groceries, cleaning supplies and things for Nancy.
I did order a new Winegard RVW-205 Sensar IV Antenna from Amazon and put it on. The old one had to many run ins with low hanging tree branches and wasn't picking up the local channels very well. The new one is a big improvement and does pick up more channels.
Yesterday was a laundromat day.  We could have gone a couple more days, but with our family reunion this weekend we didn't want to be in the laundromat.
We will be moving today and going to Claubough's in Pigeon Forge for four days where everyone else are for the family reunion. We see just about everyone in our summer travels but it is a great time seeing them all together.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day and weekend.

Good Weekend

Friday morning it was a thick fog on the lake.
No fog saturday or sunday and that was good because there was a Bass Pro
tournament going on. The large boat ramp parking lot was full pus they were parking in the grass in every spot. There was maybe 75 plus boats entered into the tournament.
By late sunday evening the crowd was gone and the ones left on the lake were families enjoying a slow boat ride.  The swimming area had quite a few people enjoying the water on a hot summer day.
Well after so many trips to Lowes for the lumber, bolts screws and trim I got the new microwave shelve build in. Since it will remain there while we are traveling down the road I built it extra strong so hopefully it will not fall down. Another project finished and I hope nothing else breaks or quits running. If you are on the road with your rv a lot and nothing tears up just wait, because it will sooner or later.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
