Went on a picnic

                                                     

                                                 

Yes, believe it or not we went on a picnic.  Here is Nancy and Sherry in the car ready to go.

I can't remember the last time we did this.

And it was the first time in over a year Nancy has been out.  The only time she was out was to see a doctor.

When you see these bells, you know you are close to the park.

We went to the John Chesnut SR Park today.

This was a good day indeed.  Taking some time out for a picnic and doing a little walking.

A good Day

 Yesterday Vicki and I had to get out and do a little shopping.                                                       

                                                       

One place was Dollar General to get some potting soil and small flowerpots to transfer some flowers that have sprouted in the last week. 

We then went thru the new carwash.

First a couple of the workers do a little extra by brushing the front of the car and bothe the front and back windows.

Then it was putting the car in neutral and let the conveyer belt move you slowly thru the wash.

Vicki really got a thrill with all the color of lights as we were going thru.

You can tell you are in a Florida town with all the palm trees planted along the roads.

                                                      You can tell its springtime in Florida.

Vicki was wanting to go on a picnic today and Nancy said if she felt like it she would try to go.

Blood drawn and changing of the daughters.

 Last Friday I had my blood work at the Florida Institue Center.

After taking my pills every other day to elevate my platelet count really jumped up, it went from 181 to 322 so that is great.

I will have it drawn again in two weeks and see the doctor at that time to decide what will be the next thing to do.

Also Friday Vicki and I went to the St Pete Airport to pick up Sherry as she is coming to help out and Vicki went back home Sunday.

                                                  

Looks like this dog is enjoying a Sunday ride.

                                         

                          

We have to go across the two-mile-long bridge to get to the air port.

There ere a few people enjoying riding around in the boats.

Maybe a few people enjoy looking out the windows of this building at the water.

Doctors and doctors

It was back to the Florida Cancer Center Friday to have blood drawn to check and see how the platelets were doing.

The doctor had me on my pills every other day to see how that would work.

The platelet level is still going lower, but the doctor seemed ok with it.

He said to keep taking the Promacta pills and have my blood drawn every two weeks and he would talk to me in a month.

Nancy in the meantime saw her Cardiologist he told her that she is in good shape and is amazed how she is after all she has been though.
