Anniversary 64 and a Happy New Year

Well Nancy and I made another year together. Just think one of my aunt said it would not last six month's when we got married. Our love for each other grows stronger every year.

It must have been the big wedding we had, yeah sure.

We got married at the county court house with a cost of $5.00 I gave the court clerk for the marriage. Hey that was big money in 1956.

May all of my readers and their family have a very healthy New Year.

Nancy and I will be eating inside today instead of going out for dinner as we usually do. The one thing we always do is we will be making cabbage rolls for our New Year Day dinner.

Our forecast today is for sunny with the temperature to be in the low 80's.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Christmas day and after

I hope all of you had a great and wonderful Christmas.

Nancy and I had our Christmas Day of putting a small dinner together. I told Nancy that I would go out and get us something to eat, but she wanted to do the dinner herself. She said she know how I like to watch ball games and snack on the left overs after dinner.

So this is what we had for our Christmas Dinner, Ham, Potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, green beans onion rolls and macaroni salad that I put together the evening before. I tasted really good, Nancy hasn't lost her touch of cooking a delicious meal.

These egrets were on the lawn trying to find food to eat.

Yesterday was my usual Saturday of finding some college ball games to watch.

It is going to start a warming trend this week with today going up to 67* and the rest of the week being in the middle 70's.

The last two mornings we have got up to the temperature of 34*-feels like "its cold".

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Merry Christmas

First thing is that I want to wish all of my readers a very Merry Christmas.

If you need to travel during the Holidays be extra careful, with all the things going on this year I don't want anything happen to you.

Well the Doctor report on the MRI is just as I thought it would be.  The foot has a gathering of fluid and the ankle joint shows arthritis.  But the good news is I do not have to wear the boot any more.

Getting over that I just couldn't have anything hurting me, so yesterday I slammed the motorhome front door on my thumb. Boy, don't do that it really hurts!

Our weather todays temperature is going to be up t0 78* with rain this afternoon and tomorrows temp will be a high of 54*.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

I had to get out to Walmart yesterday to buy a few things and man was everybody else out there  doing their shopping.

Good NCAA games.

The weather is about the same with the temperatures being on a yoyo going up and down. the night time it is in the low 50's and the 40's with a couple of mornings down to 37*.

I have one more appointment with the doctor to see the results of the MRI and with the blood work.

I don't expect any surprise on either one of them.  As far as the foot and angle goes its one of those things about being old everything takes longer to heal up.

Been going to the store only when we need something, of course that is still the normal even before the virus.

There were a couple of good NCAA football games on and basketball  that I watched.

Nancy made some of her good chili so that was good eating for me while I enjoyed the games.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Last few day

The weather is doing much better now, with the day time temps in the low 70's and the night time hear the middle 60's.

I've done a couple of loads of laundry. Which is a larger issue now that the park laundromat along the club house is under going renovations. So now it it getting everything in the car and driving to a laundromat five miles down the road. Not to mention that the washers are a $1.00 more.

I'm trying to get some kind of schedule of taking the scatter rugs out to give them shaking out. then sweeping the floors and running a wet swiffer over the floors. But I will have to say it is much cleaner than having carpet in the motorhome. Other then that, like other retired people watching the tv and doing things on the computer.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Catching up on appointments

Nancy and I have caught up on several appoinments we had. We both have had our flu shots at the Walgreens Pharmacy.

Also yesterday both of us had our doctors appoinments, with Nancy's blood pressure being up more than it should be. As for me I'm still being hampered with my left foot.

The doctor ordered for me to have an MRI of my leg and foot he also said for me to keep my boot on and only come off when I go to bed.

Also we need to have our blood drawn for a work up on it. The blood work is usually a yearly thing anyway.

I think with the both of us we have as of now a total of six more appointments for the month.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Back in Florida

We are back in Florida trying to get settled in and catching up on the necessary things that we need to do. Like our doctor appointments which comes to a lot of appointments when you add up both of ours.
Nancy did manage to prepare us a pot of homemade soup, which tasted mighty good during this cold spell we are having,
The temperatures have at times been down in the upper 30's.   Of course being here in Florida they do warm up in the day time hours.

Its also good to be back where I can buy my product at the at the small roadside market with the lower prices.  Tomatoes at 99 cents a pound,  corn costing 4 for $1.00.
Lets not forget the Outlet Bakery where fresh  bread 99 cent and hot dog, hamburger buns .79.

Did I mention this best of all is the warmer weather.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

A visit to Buc-ee's

More catching up for you.

While visiting with son Joe I had slipped coming down his back steps and bumped my shin on the bottom step. Man did that hurt, but I thought nothing about it until a few days later when the big lump on my shin didn't shrink at all. So with Nancy and son Joe's urging me I went to an Urgent Care to have them look at it and an Xray just showed no broken bones just a large "hematoma".

Then a few days later when we were visiting brother Nick my foot was turning blue, I was off to Urgent Care for another look and xray of the foot. Well in short no broken bones in foot, but I have strained muscles and tendon at angle. Also I have to wear a boot on the left foot with the damage for at least six weeks.

Before I had to ware the boot brother Nick and I was doing the running around as we always do.one of the things was to a new Buc-ee's fuel stop that just opened the day before we arrived.

I have heard about Buc-ees and knew they were in the western states, but now there is one in Georgia.

It is right off of I-75 exit 146 in Warner Robins, it has 116 fuel pumps.  This place is very crowded.

At this station there are three ladies putting together the sandwiches as fast as they can while a line of people are picking them up and proceed to the register to pay for them.

Here are the self serve drinks, with that many more back the other way.

This place has a little of everything.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
