Sick and improving

 A Few days after I had the kidney stent removed a got a fever.

I went to a Med Care after having the fever for five days see what they could do.

I was surprised to see a doctor there instead of nurse practitioner or like most of them.

He called in a week supply of anti-biotic pills and said take all of them.

After taking a few the fever broke.

Nancy is still having a rough time feeling good but she is still improving.

Two sick people, but improving.

 Nancy is still slowly improving and all she has been through it is expected.

Besides the double pneumonia she had a slight heart attack and has to be on oxygen most of the time.

As for me I have to go to the Cancer Center to have blood drawn again to see how the platelet level is.

Wednesday The urologist removed a few kidney stones and a blood colt of my bladder.

The stent is going to be early Monday morning and I will be glad because I'm not able to be far from the rest room.

Things Happen

 Nancy has been in the hospital for 21 days and today she is coming home.

I just hope she does not have to go back to the hospital again like the last time.

She will be on oxygen to help her breath.  She seems to have to use it all the time.

There will be some people coming out to set up her oxygen station here at the house.

She will have a nurse come out three times a week to check and see how she is doing.

Also, there will be someone out to help her with her rehab exercise.

I also was in and out of the hospital for surgery to remove a few kidney stones and remove a blood clot

off of my bladder. 

It will take me a little while to get over that.

Nancy and I are very glad enough to have our two daughters down here to help us out.

In and out of the hospital

 I've been visiting Nancy each day at the hospital, but it looks like she may be doing good enough to come home in a few days.

Everything is set up for a nurse to come every three days to help her with the rehab that she needs to improve.

Also the people to install her oxygen machine when she is home to help her breath when she needs it.

Nancy is still very weak but slowly improving.

As for me I'm going in the hospital for same day surgery to remove three more kidney stones so Sherry will have to drive me back home.  

Sometimes it just seems like getting older is very rough.

Just two old people

Nancy is still in the hospital. 

They moved her to another room in the rehab center in that she has to go through rehab before they release her to go home.

They have a February 3rd date they are hoping she can be released.

She also with all the problem's she has that she had a mild heart attacked from all the stress of not being able to breath good.

They told her she much be one tough old lady, because they've had younger people that didn't make it with what she had wrong with her.

As for me it's another Friday so it's to the Cancer Center to have my blood drawn to check my blood platelet level.

Sick. Sick

 Nancy is still in the hospital but slowly improving with her breathing.

The doctors told her that it will be a slow process.

In the meantime, our youngest daughter has the type A flu and staying at home so that left Vicki and myself to be with Nancy.     But wait?

In the meantime, I have come down with something I was hacking and coughing all night.    I'm staying home today and maybe a few more days.   We do not want to expose Nancy with what is taking us down.

Hospital

Last Tuesday I had to call the ambulance for Nancy because she had a hard time breathing.

After spending hours in the waiting room and getting to examined they said she had a few few things that would cause her hard breathing and after telling her if it gets any worse to come back in.

Well early yesterday morning I had to call the ambulance again because she was really struggling getting her breath.

After going through all the same things again only this time they said she had pneumonia in both lungs and started on all the things to treat her.

When I left her last night, she was still not beathing normal but much better.

They told her not to plan on going back home anyway soon.

Happy New Year and our Anniversary

 I want to wish each and every one of you the best new years of your lives.

Nancy and I will be celebrating double as usual on New Years eve as it is also our number 67 wedding anniversary.

sixty-seven years ago, we went to the county courthouse to get us a marriage license and get married.

The court clerk married us and I gave him $5.00 for doing it.

I know $5.00 wasn't much but at that time I was working for the Ford Motor Company in Detroit, Michigan as an apprentice for $2,00 an hour.

Nancy and I will be making cabbage rolls today as we have for many a year.

Got medicine So

 Yes, my pills came in the mail yesterday two weeks after being called in by the doctor.

But as I said my last reading on my platelet level showed the numbers were elevated without taking anything to raise them.

I'm not going to take any pills until I see what my numbers are Tomorrow on what I will do.

I hope each and every one of you had a great Christmas.

Nancy and I had some homemade chicken soup that we made which was really good.

                                                               

But the thing we liked best was the Hungarian nut rolls we put together.

I ground up the walnuts with the old fashion grinder I've had for many a year.

We made thirty-two of them and they were really really good.

I had my blood drawn again Friday and as I said I'm not able to get my medicine that will raise my platelet level numbers. 

I got an early Christmas present because Friday the numbers were elevated without the medicine.  

So, I'm not so worried about having the pills to do the work.

No pills?

 Last post I made I reported I was on medicine again, but no that has not happened as of yet.

For some reason I have not received my pills and I cannot find out why. 

I've spent hours on the phone to see what the holdup is, and no one knows and some of the places I called didn't have any record of me.

So, when I go in today to have my blood drawn, I will see if someone there will help.

No doubt my numbers on my platelets will be much lower.

I'm not a very happy camper right now!
