Basketball is over

Yeah, basketball is over!  I've been watching the NBA and usually I just watch it during the play-offs.

This past week end I was watching The US Golf tournament.   I like golf and I even tried it one time and it did not interest me at the time.

I'm going to have to get out more because I have been sitting around to much and my body is telling me that I need to move more.  I have been going to the store for groceries, but they are only short trips and also It is a quick trip in and out.

So, this week I will try to do better.

Out a little.

 Nancy worked up enough nerve to get out of the house yesterday in that she wanted to get her haircut.

                                                                       

 As you can see it was a beautiful day.   She goes to the Great Clips in this strip mall which is only a mile and a half from the house. 

                                               

Today I ventured out a bit as I was wanting to see what the new Habitat Restore had that I might need.

I did not get anything for myself, but I did find a nice bar stool for Nancy, that she could sit on while doing dishes at the kitchen sink. 

The other day I was talking about the couple of air-conditioners that went out.

It seems that was not the only thing that went on the blink.  I had to buy a new phone, oh it was working but, it would randomly call the difference people that are on my contact list.

Also, a couple of times I would be out shopping in the store and it would start playing music.

Money, Money

 OK, I'm still around and still more or less covered up with what I've been doing.  I guess I kind of let it get to me.

Nancy and I was back to the Eye Institute to get a follow up on how our eyes were after the laser surgery.

Nancy said she could not see very well out of one eye, but the doctor said he couldn't see anything wrony with her eyes. So, what does she do?

I was seeing really good out of both eyes, but that day my eyes were blurry.  Mybe it was the eye drops they put in my eyes, who knows?

Anyway yester day Nancy called the Eye Institute and told them we forgot to pickup our prescriptions for glasses. They told her I would have to come in to have the refraction done on mine before they good get the prescription?   So it was finished up, with Nancy's eyes at 20/40 and I was surprised mine were 20/30.

The cars a/c is worked after getting the coil evaporating coil installed but my dash is a mess.  The sun made the dash brittle so when they were taking it loose it fell into pieces. At least Nancy has her air-condition.

Now to the motor home where I had to get a new a/c unit for the worn out a/c.  So after money, money we have cold air blowing again.

Good vision again.

 Monday it was to the Florida Eye Institute to have laser surgery on the left eye to have the edema burned off that was partially covering the pupil.

I want to tell you this was the way I supposed to see after having the cataract surgery, but I did not.

The doctor that checked my eyes after the cataract surgery follow up appointment saw the problems with my eyes.

Anyway, I'm very satisfied now with my vision even though the vision in the left eye I'm seeing double, but glasses will take care of that.

Yesterday, I spent part of the day at Pep Boys having them changing the fan motor on the car.  The reason for that was the old one burned up and we sure need the a/c this time of year.

Happy Mothers Day

 Wish all you mothers a very happy day on the day set aside for you. You people that still have your mothers living do go to see them or call them it will mean a lot to them.

Friday was another day of going to the storage yard to clean on the motorhome.  This time it was to wash the front and rear caps as there was green pollen and dirt on it.

Since there was no water at the storage yard to use, I had to use water out of the motorhome tank which holds 67 gallons, that is more than enough. 

Even though it did not come clean, it will need some deep cleaning to look better. 

Tomorrow will be another day to do the eye surgery, this time on my left eye.

Seeing much better

 Monday Nancy and I was at the Florida Eye Institute for our scheduled appointment to have the Laser Surgery.

It was for the growth in our eyes after the cataract surgery that grows over the pupil making it blurry just the same as the cataract's.  It sounds like a big deal but only takes about five mintues to complete and not painful.

I could tell right away it really did help doing the right eye that was giving me trouble about reading and watching tv.  The doctor will do my left eye this coming Monday.

Nancy on the other hand did not fair as well as she said it did not help her sight.  She will have to get the doctor to check her eyes again to see what the problem is.

Doctor and Birthday wishes

 Nancy and I had our doctor's appointment Friday at 2:30 pm, so after seeing the doctor it was time to eat. 

  It's always waiting to get called into the room to see the doctor then waiting for him to come in and by that time, getting all the information on our blood work.  Then the doctor checking us out and telling us everything "looks good", sometimes two hours have gone by.    

So after all that it was time for us to eat.  It was to the Hibachi Buffet this time for my Birthday dinner even though it was a day early.

                                                                 

Yesterday it was a trip to Walmart for a few items that Nancy needed to have.

The birds where out in great numbers enjoying the nice warm weather.

The rest of the day I was on the phone with our children and grand children wishing me a Happy Birthday and asking me, how does it feel to be 84 years old.

My answer was, the same as it was being 83.

Later in the evening it was watching some television before bedtime.

Grill'n time

 I have just a little more to do on and in the motor home to have it ready for the road.

That is if we ever getting through with the doctor appointment's.

                                                                

I did get time to put on the grill and also added a few onions and peppers.

Here is my little happy burger in my plate with some fried potatoes.

The meat usually taste better on a grill then fried in a skillet.

Happy Easter

 Yes, I wish all of you a Happy Easter with your Family or like Nancy and I just the two of you. 

Nancy has always prepared us a large dinner, but now with her health issues there's no reason for her to do so.

Instead, we are getting our meal from Bob Evans and having a quite dinner at home.

We have an appointment to have blood drawn on Tuesday a week before our appointment with the doctor.

Eye Surgery

 Yesterday Nancy and I went to the Florida Eye Institute to have our eyes checked to get new glasses.

This place checks your eyes much better than the run of the mill laces that are around.

Nancy and I both have been having problems with our eyes burning and our sight has seeing things but through a blurry vision.  

Upon checking everything with our eyes the problem is we have Secondary Adema after Cataract Surgery.

So, we will have surgery May 2.  Nancy will have one and I will have both eyes with one week between surgeries.

Our summer vacation and Family reunion are on hold until everything is complete here.   We sure hope we make it for the Family reunion

Sitting around?

 Sorry folks not much happening around here, just to old people sitting around.

Well maybe not all the time as I have been going to the storage yard to work on the motor home a few hours each day.  The most important thing was getting the toilet foundation repaired with the new lumber in and the old out.

I still have the living room slide to see why it is creeping out after bringing it in.

Yes, we have some more appointment to have our eyes checked to get new prescription glasses.

Also, our regular doctor for new med prescriptions.

So maybe not that much sitting around after all.
