Near Morehead, Kentucky

We only went a short distance after departing from Peach and don as we stopped at the Flying J.
I didn't fill up the motor Home I just got enough to take me where I can get the gas close to 30 cent a gallon less.

We were on I-64 after getting gas and having a light lunch.
The colors we simply beautiful and my photos of the trees did them no justice.

The windshield had a haze and took away the true colors we saw.

Nancy and I where moving our heads from one side to the other looking as the scenery went by.

So many different colors.

Rolls of hay in the field, ah the sites Autumn.

We made it safe and are set up for a week or more.
Nancy's sister Jackie and her daughter are going to the Smoky Mountains for the weekend.

So Nancy and I are house sitting this weekend.

Th stopping by and have a great day.

Here in Culloden, West Virginia

We did get away from Mark and Sherry after taking down and I mean down of the motor home.
With the way their driveway is going up to park We had to stack the lumber under the levelers and wheels.

Then arriving at peach and Don's, its only a matter of taking loose the car, backing into place and leveling up.

Connecting the electric, sewer and the water completes all the outside things.

The first morning we had this visitor hanging around just outside of the door.

We are enjoying our time here and still have a couple of days left to visit and have meals together.

Thanks stopping by and have a great day.

Another four visiting days

Since we left florida late this year and also staying in Georgia for a month due to Nancy getting sick our time with family is being cut short.

So the time with Mark and Sherry, well Mark anyway sense Sherry has been with us for a while.  Mark has been cooking us some good tasting meals that Nancy and I have been enjoying.  Enjoying really too much because I've gained a few pounds.  But it is over and we will be leaving tomorrow.

We will now be going south for a change and with the temps being in the 30's its about time.

We will be visiting Nancy's sister Peach and husband Don for a few days.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Here and gone

Well just like the title says, our time here at Stony Fork has ended. .
We had a nice site, but the only time we got out to do snything was Thursday. - That day was to spend time with Nancy's sister Callie that lives in Princeton. We had a really good time visiting her and catching up on some news. Thank you Callie for such a good and fun visit. - Today we will leave heading still north to take Sherry back home then finally heading south. - With the temeratures the last two nights around 33 degrees it is much to cold for Nancy and myself. - What made it seem much colder was I looked up to see what the temperature was at the park we stay the winter in, it was 74 degrees. - Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Tough Posting

Well folks here goes I'm trying again to post
We had a good site at Petersburg Campground,
We had beautiful sunsets and enjoy the four days we were there.

But we did manage to get three more days across the lake at the Ridge road Campground.

I did see this deer walking across the road one day.

Then these two smaller ones came tagging alone behind her.

Monday we were in Mt Airy, at the Mayberry Campground.
We stayed there for two days on the Passport America price which is half off the regular rate.

We ate supper at a very good Restaurant.
It was The Copper Pot Restaurant and the food was so good as was the service as was the price.
We will surely be going back to this place.

Today we left the Mayberry Campground this morning and are here in the Stony Fork Campground which is near Wytheville, Virginia.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day

Petersburg Campground

Saturday was the day to be on our way after visiting with my brother nick and his wife Joann. Nancy and I really want to thank you and Joann for treating us more than you rea]]lly have to. I just wish you wouldn't feed us so much, but I did enjoy all the food and desserts.
After fueling up the motor home we were on our way.
We spent the night at Walmart in Sandersville, Georgia. I didn't drive to manny miles on Saturday so it would not wear Nancy out. We took our time getting up Sunday morning and getting ready before moving on. We still made it to Petersburg Campground and checked in early without being tired. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Warner Robins, Georgia

We did get away and made the trip safe to m brother nick and wife Joann. What can I say I have put on a few pounds as I usually do when we visit here. I think Joann doesn't think I really eat enough so she wants to fatten me up. Nancy made the trip ok but her body did take some beating. Yesterday she had a very bad headache and said she really didn't feel like any visiting so she stayed home. I have been running around with Nick as I always do when we visit here. I got in touch with Proggressive Insurance and the ball in in their court as far as what will be happening on the patio awning that got destroyed in the wind. A couple of gas station have the price of $169,9 for regular gas so I had the car filled up. We will be here a few more days before moving on north. Thanks for stoppin by and have a great day.

Getting ready

We are planning to finally head north again Monday after being here way too long. Of course I was wanting to make sure Nancy was able to travel and it seems like she is at this time. She is still not near at 100% and with the problems she has, she says she will never be 100%. YeI took scatter rugs and gave them a good shaking out. Then before I put them back in place the floors needed a good sweeping out, then doing the swiffer wet pad. With that out of the way it was time to go to the Barbershop to get a haircut. It took quite some time because there were four more ahead of me and the barber was taking his time on each one of them. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Things still happening

Well the lightning and thunder storms have finally let up on us.  Now we are in a heat wave.
The temperatures have been around 95 with this weekend going up to 96-97 degrees and will be feeling like 110.
Needless to say I have been staying inside as much as possible, but as you know that is hard to do.

Nancy is still slowly getting better and trying to do some things so she can strengthen her body back up.

We have stayed here so long that we have had to get our medications refilled and at time that is a hassle.
Nancy spent half of yesterday on the phone between her doctor and Walgreens getting one of her prescriptions filled.

As expected in an old rv things wear out.  This time it is the thetford toilet that is not holding water.
This is usually not a problem, just have to replace the old seal with a new one but--------no one has a new seal in stock, not even Thetford.  That is until September, 14.
So I put a little cooking oil on the seal to expand it until I can get a new one.

We are still eating good so we are thankful for that.  Here is the breakfast that I call a rough omelet with egg, onion, and sausage with toast tomato and coffee.

Yesterday we had bbq ribs ready to eat from the Harvey's Market, Bushes BBQ Beans, french fries, corn, slaw and a diet ginger ale to drink.  Nancy, Sherry and I really did over eat on this one.

I hope all of you have a safe and enjoyable week end and thank you for stopping by.
