This is the travels of Joe and Nancy. Nancy is part Cherokee and I'm Hungarian, thus the name of our blog. We started full timing May,1,2000. We traveled in our motorhome visiting beaches, state parks, national parks, corp of engineer parks. We have overnighted in Walmarts, 24 hour grocery store, boat ramps, FlyingJ. Now with health issues and old age. Plus, we have not used the motorhome in a few years, this part of our life has come to an end.

A little side trip
Well what do you know we did something different yesterday. We took a little trip down to Tarpon Springs. We have be here before but this time it was different in what we saw.
We started off by going to the free museum. They first show a short film about the way they get the sponges and clean and size them. Very interesting,if you think that all they do is pick the sponges out of the gulf and put them on the shelf to sell, you need to watch this film. After the show we walked through the short museum.
After that we walked down the street. There were a few visitors, nothing like on the week end. If you are going to visit Tarpon Springs,it would be best to do it through the week. Like any tourist place it gets crowded on the week end.
In all the years that we have been to Tarpon Springs I've wanted to see the sponge boats come in loaded with sponges,it happened today.
Here is another boat of sponges. One of the boats really had good luck. It was loaded down so much that they had the sponge net so full that they were on the deck and had to walk on top of them. I'll bet these guys will be celebrating their good find.
