Basketbal and Doctors

It was a full weekend including Monday and Tuesday with basketball and Nancy going to the doctor.

The basketball part was the winning teams are the one that are going tobe in the final four.

Nancy had to be at her Nephologist early onday morning to be fitted up with a blood pressure Monitor for 24 hour to check on her blood pressure.                                                                                         Nancy keeps telling her that her blood presure always goes up when she visits any doctor.

  This is true and she has had this "white coat" syndrome for years.

Then Tuesday morning I had to take the monitor back. So now its another appointment for a later date to see what the reading on the monitor will show.

This afternoon its back to the Florida Cancer Center for Nancy to have her blood drawn to be check for her iron level. That will be another appointment, the doctors need to get all the money out of you they can.                                                                                                                                                      Nancy has always had a blood iron deficiency. From the time we were married, several times I would come home from work and she would be lying passed out on the floor.

This was a good day

Looks like another nice day today with the weather temps going to be a 80* day. As far as that goes for the coming week our forecast the temps will be in the middle 80's.

I had a few things to do yesterday, with getting a few groceries. Starting with a stop at the Publix for some Hungarian peppers and tomatoes at the price of .99 cents.

Next it was to Kohl's which is a drop off return for Amazon. It sure makes it easy you just take the item and they will take and package it, send it back.

Then a stop to Walmart for a few groceries that we needed plus a bottle of Arthritis Pain tablets 650 mg for Nancy.

By the time I was back home it was time for supper. So I put this frozen Lasagna in the micro wave for 18 minute and "wham" it was ready to eat. Of course It had to have a couple of minutes to cool down. The Lasagna tasted much better than I thought it would.

It was a good day.

Not very busy

Just the same, going to store when needed and also doing the laundry went needed.

But really this time of the year the March Madness basketball games are taking up most of my time.

This week Nancy has a couple of doctor appointments. Nancy and I have not had our vacine shot yet but I think we soon. CVS, Walgreens and Publix have been giving the shots in our area.

O'boy a bunch of basketball

Our temps have finally decided to warm up and be normal or a little above the normal for this time of the year.  Which mean that this is why a lot of people came to Florida for the winter.

Nancy was back at the Florida Cancer Center Tuesday to get another iron infusion and in hopes of being the last one for the year.  She has another doctor appointment the last of this month so the doctor will tell her how everything is on the blood work up at that time.  She does feel better at this time.

I have been doing the laundry this passed week and doing the necessary shopping at the varies  stores. 

I watched my college basketball this past weekend  plus the added games that is going on to decide who will be the conference champions.  Then come the March Madness for who is the college champion for the year 2021.

Doctors and eating out

My computer has been down for the last two days.  I got on a couple of days ago and nothing showed up but a black screen.  I did finally got it going to where I could get google and upon a search of my problem.  Google told me it was a virus or sometimes due to a Microsoft  update. I did have a update that went through the day before.

Well first I ran a couple of programs for to see if I had a virus,  which showed no virus.  So I did a restore to a week back and then in another four hours of updates again everything is back to going smooth.

Monday Nancy went see her kidney doctor to check on her resent blood work.  Well it was good news, her numbers had gone from 22 up to 31.  So now if  Nancy can watch what see eats and not cheat she will feel better.  

Then Tuesday it was to the clinic for her iron infusion which lasted three hours, because they had to watch her for a half an hour to make sure she did not have a reaction like she did the last time.

                                               

 Since it was late in the evening we went to the Long Horn Restaurant to eat.  Nancy had chicken and a baked sweet potato.

                                               

I had the 6 oz  sirloin steak with baked potato and both of us had a salad.

Of course the name sake of the restaurant, an old skull of a longhorn steer.                                             Nancy and I enjoy sitting back and enjoyed our meal together.

Nice Day

After Nancy went in to the Doctor yesterday early because he wanted to ask her about the iron infusion reaction she had to it.  He decided that she should not have the full dose again.  So now she will be doing a smaller dose on Monday.

First since we were close to Sams Club I filled up the car with fuel at the lowest price in town.  Then it was inside to get a couple of items we needed.

By that time Nancy was getting hungry so it was a stop at the Cracker Barrel where we had breakfast for our meal.

Then I asked Nancy if she felt like going to the Green Key Park, I thought she might say yes, which she did.

                                               

She had her walker today so it was much better for her than the cane.  It was such a nice day with the temperature in the middle 80's.

                                               

We sat down in the picnic area in the shade where we enjoyed the view of the gulf while a cool breeze came in off the water made pleasant.

                                                

We were not the only ones enjoying the weather and the gulf, here is a sea gull looks to be doing it also.

Still doctors and rain

Nancy has not felt very well since she had the iron infusion. So she called the doctor yesterday and he told her to come in early for her appointment Friday to have another iron infusion so he can check her before they do the iron infusion.

Well the weather is still on a roller coaster chart.  After a few days of sunshine, Friday it was an all day of cool rain.  That was the day Nancy was getting the iron infusion that lasted for three hours

Both of us were worn out in the I sat in the car for the whole time.

So today its back to a sunny day the temperature being in the middle 70's.

Today will also be another day Nancy will have her blood drawn at Lab-Corp so the kidney doctor can check to see if there is some improvement over the last month.

More iron infusion for Nancy

After about a week of 80* weather we are only getting up to 67* with a chance of rain today.  I'm not complaining I'm just saying.  I know most of you are having much of the cold snowy temps that has hit the USA.   

I'm staying inside as much as possible, only traveling outside for some groceries and things that need attending to.  The only time Nancy is out of the rig is for Doctor appointments.  

 She has an appointment today with the family doctor and then Friday is going in for another iron infusion.

She has been feeling weak so last Friday they checked her blood and her blood count was real low so that is the reason for the infusion again.  I think the last time she had to do it three times in order to bring the count up.

Lot of games

It has warmed up enough now that I have been wearing my short pants for the last few days. I hope it will last so the legs will get some tan, then the skinny old legs will not look like a chicken running around.

Nancy saw a soul food dish with cabbage and smoked sausage that she thought would taste good. So thats what we had on Thursday and it really was good and we hady some left over for Friday. On Friday though she added cooked spaghetti pasta, a little Soy Sauce to it to make it a Lo Mein dish and it tasted a little better.

It was a good weekend for me because I had enough College Basketball on Saturday and the Super Bowl yesterday to keep me entertained to the limit. The weather is going to be warm most of this week with a chance of rain each day.

New Patio awning & more

This week has been cold for us with the last two days in the low 50's.

It was time for the clothes to be washed and dried so down to the laundry room for that yesterday.  There was no one doing their clothes today, I guess it was to cold for them.

                 

I finally found a mobile tech to come out to install us a new patio awning.

I had to get all new hardware because the wind that took it down last spring twisted it all up.

                         

Here it is looking good, the father (Rick) and son (Gary) did a nice quick installation of it. 

                         

Here it is rolled back up even from side to side nice and smooth.

                         

Rick gave me such a good price I had him to install new slide covers.  Here they are with the large living room cover sliding from the rear of the motorhome up to the slideout.

                         

Installed and now on to the bedroom slide.

                          

The bedroom slide was a small cover so it didn't take very long.

I'm so glad that I have found Rick's place to have this work finished on our motorhome and paying a reasonable price. Much less than the dealerships in the area.

Another week down

Not much of anything different going on, just the boring things that us old people do.

But, that is what you're supposed to do right, like watch a lot of tv which is pretty good.

This passed weekend was a good time watching the NFL playoff games, that is if your team was on the winning side. How about all those college basketball games with the last second winning shots made.

I did a couple loads of laundry, that needs to be taken care of every week or so.  We are close enough to the laundry room that I can put a load in the washer come back to the rig for a half an hour go back put the load in a dryer, back to the rig for an hour to do a little chore then bring the clothes back  and I'm finish with that.

Nancy and I are still on the look-out for a house in a 55+ park.   We looked at a couple this week,  those didn't fit what we were interested in.
