someday I may need that.Yesterday the first thing was to look into the back of the Dometic refrigerator. The problem was what I thought it was. The circuit board was not doing what it was suppose to be doing. Matter of fact it was not doing anything. This could have been a big problem, but I had a circuit board that I have been carrying around with me for four years. It is a used circuit that I had taken off of a discarded refrigerator that someone in the park had thrown away. When I was taking it off four years ago,I said to myself someday I may need that. Well yesterday was that someday.
So now the refrigerator is working good again.
We also when to middlesboro again so Nancy could get her haircut.
We took a short walk at the close of the day.
On an earlier post I wrote we had satellite reception and cell phone signal.
The cell phone is with Straight Talk with the AT&T coverage. Also we have the Verizon Hotspot for internet has a very good signal here.
Thanks for dropping by.
This is the travels of Joe and Nancy. Nancy is part Cherokee and I'm Hungarian, thus the name of our blog. We started full timing May,1,2000. We traveled in our motorhome visiting beaches, state parks, national parks, corp of engineer parks. We have overnighted in Walmarts, 24 hour grocery store, boat ramps, FlyingJ. Now with health issues and old age. Plus, we have not used the motorhome in a few years, this part of our life has come to an end.

Problems
Yesterday we went to Middlesboro. Our first stop was at the Farmers market. It is a place that has fruit and vegetables that is like so many that gets produce from wholesellers. They have nice displays out on tables that looks very nice and fresh. Some of the produce is locally grown.
We took a short drive through the old part of town, then had dinner at Ryans Buffet which was good. We then went to Roses but came away empty handed. Then it was to Walmart for a very few things. From there it was to Krogers to by a few choices of meat.
After getting back to the motorhome and putting the things away it was time for a walk. We watched a little tv then some computer time.
At 11:00 pm it was time for bed. That was when I noticed the check light was on the Dometic refrigerator. After trying to start upon electric and then gas alone it would not come on. So this morning it means I will have some trouble shooting to do,but without it working on electric or gas it dosen't sound very good.

Cumberland Gap National Park
Yesterday we didn't want to get to Cumberland Gap National Park early. We wanted to give the weekend campers time to move out.
I stopped at the Walmart in Middlesboro to fill up with fuel. From there it was to the park. I pulled up to check in and the park host says I can walk through the park to find a campsite and then register. I told him I wanted to find a site where I can get a satellite signal. He said lots of luck! After looking I got a site that looked like it might work. I have a phone app that has the satellite locations I use and it looked as though I had a narrow opening between the trees. After signing in we drove to the site I hooked up the electric raised the satellite dish to see if I had a signal. Nope,so backed up about one foot and there was the clear shot,I got the signal. We have satellite tv and a cell phone signal,so all is good.
By that time we where hungry so Nancy got us some food to eat.
After the sun went down we took a walk around the park. We saw this small opossum crossing the road.
The little fella stopped for a pose so I would get a good shot of him.
We are in a campground and see this sign that says "no overnight camping"? It was actully no camping at the pavillion.
Taking the trail out to the amphitheater.
The amphitheater. We where at this park 10 years ago and we can see some of the improvements that have been made.
Thanks for coming this way and do come back.

It all works out
Vicki came over yesterday to spend some time with us before we left Lexington. We had a nice little visit, she brought Rebekah with her. Rebekah had some of her drawings with her. She is a great artist.
We left Lexington around 1:30.
Traveling south on I-75 we saw what each area had to offer.
I was going to use the dump station in London, but I missed the exit. No problem I'll just get off at the Corbin exit and come back. The next exit was 10 miles down te highway. There was a Loves Truck Stop with a dump station so I will use their's. I used this dump station a few years back. Uh oh it is now $5.00 to dump. Well just bite the bullet, besides it will be cheaper than going back to the free dump. But I was going to stay at the Walmart in London. Still not a problem will will stay at the Walmart here in Corbin where we have stayed before. Uh oh again,no overnight signs are posted now. No problem we'll go down to Barboursville to another Walmart 14 down the road and I called they do allow overnighting.
So we get on the Cumberland Gap Highway with my trusty GPS showing me the way to Walmart. Down to Barboursville the little lady in the box says right turn. I am now in the small town. The little lady in the box say recalculating, this is never a good thing when she says that. So after getting back on the main road and going anothe 1/2 mile she says arriving at Walmart. Nancy and I look around, but we don't see a Walmart. It looks like on to the next town. Well wouldn't you know it after another 1/2 mile there's the Walmart. The little lady in the little box and I are going to have a little talk.
This Walmart is one of the small ones not a Supercenter. It is part of a small strip mall, but it will do.

Time Again
Delivering your product in style. Just remember if you buy Red Buck Cigars you are paying for this big bus.
Yesterday after getting ready we went into Walmart to do a little shopping for a few things. By the time we were through Vicki called that she was at Krogers getting the things she needed for spaghetti. After putting our groceries up in the motorhome we headed over to Vicki's house. After a few hours of visiting and Vicki preparing dinner it was time to eat. She had spaghetti, salad and garlic bread all of which was a very good dinner. Nancy brought some spaghetti home with her. So I think I know what we will be having for dinner today.
It is time again to be moving on down I-75 to London,Kentucky. This will be another slow moving time today as we will spend the night at the London Walmart.
Thanks for stopping by this way. I wish you a great day.

UK Wildcat Country
Yesterday we left Jackies house in the late after noon. We drove west on I-64 which is a nice drive with the rolling hills and green fields.
We where going to stop for a bite to eat,but there isn't a rest area between Morehead and Lexington. So after entering Lexington and the Walmart parking lot we had a sandwich. A short time later a nice heavy rain came pouring down. We had a nice peaceful night here with a couple of other motorhomes also staying the night. This Walmart that is just off Winchester Road on Grey Lag street allows overnight parking.
Vicki and Kathryn came over and spent a couple of hours with us. Today Vicki is making spaghetti for dinner. I'm sure Nancy will enjoy it as it is one of her favorite dishes.
Nancy's blood pressure is still running 173/83. The large dosage of meds is not bringing it down as fast as we were hoping it would. Maybe in the next couple of days it will be better.

Moving out
Nancy got the result from her ultrasound yesterday and the doctor said it showed everything normal. He increased her blood pressure medicine and told her to keep a check on her blood pressure. He also told her if nothing changes told see her doctor when we get back to Florida.
So with that we will be moving on today. We have enjoyed our time here visiting with Jackie and family.
We will stay a couple of days in Lexington,Kentucky visiting our daughter Vicki before traveling slow as we go on south.
Thanks for stopping by.

Appointment
Yesterday we took our time getting ready since Nancy's doctor appointment wasn't until 3:30 pm. I did clean some on the outside of the motorhome and put wheel dressing on the tires to make them look better.
We left early for Nancy's appointment in hopes that the doctor would see her early. As it turned out she was able to see him early. Her blood pressure is still up so the doctor is going to up her meds some more. I asked the doctor if it could be her kidneys causing her blood pressure to be up so much. He said it was possible,so he had her to go to the hospital for an ultrasound of the kidneys. We are to call around noon for the result.
We have to go into Morehead to do the laundry again today. So if the doctor wants Nancy to come in we will already be there. Just a wait and see situation again. We may have to cut our summer plans short in order to go back to Florida to get Nancy's problem corrected.
Thanks for stopping by. Have yourself a great day.

Still Here
After a busy week for us it was good to hang around the motorhome yesterday. I gave the motorhome a much needed wash job. It looks so clean and ready to hit the road again. Of course we find find out about that when Nancy talks to the doctor tomorrow. Her blood pressure is up somewhat so she has to get that under control.
Nothing else is new with us.

2 busy days
Thursday
Thursday was our weekly shopping day with Jackie. We first went to Walmart for some of the groceries. Then from there it was our break time when we go and have our dinner. This time it was to the Ponderosa Steakhouse for their special price buffet. As always when we have a buffet we over eat. Then it was our next stop at Krogers for more shopping. Some folks can do all their shopping in one store but we can't. I would rather buy my meats somewhere besides Walmart. After the big day of shopping we just relaxed the rest of the evening.
Friday
O'boy yesterday what a day. I told you about Nancy's medication a couple of days ago and what a time we had trying to get it filled without any luck. Well thursday I got a message on the phone that Walmart in Huntington had the medicine for Nancy ready for pickup. What??? It was the fax that the Walmart sent to the doctor's office in Florida, the one that the lady at the front desk said that Nancy would have to come in and see the doctor before they could get her a refill. The doctor must have saw the fax later and told them to go ahead and fill the prescription.
So it was back to Huntington for another 200 mile round trip. It was worth it though for Nancy to have her pain medication. We met with Peach and Don also for dinner and another nice visit.
Thanks for dropping in and reading the blog.
I hope you have a great day.
