Good Weather

The weather is finally being what it should be here in the hanging moss and swamp state of Florida. At least here in New Port Richey.  The temps are going to be in the 70's for the whole week and that is going to be great.  The nights will dip down in the 50's which makes it nice to pull up the covers and sleep.
I think Nancy has come down with whatever I had because she has been coughing and really is down.  She wasn't able to go to church yesterday so I went with Sam and Carolyn.  After church we had our dinner at Kaposey's.  This small place sure has a crowd on Sunday's. It is because everyone is friendly,the service is fast and the food is very good.
We thought we would be able to get out and do some things this week,but with Nancy not feeling very well we'll just have to wait.

Flea Market Day

Yesterday was another Flea Market day.  I bought some vinyl materail for our florida room to replace the ones that have shrunk and now letting in the cold.  I had bought some at a window place in town and it cost twice as much as the one I got yesterday at the Flea Market.  Also bought vegetables and Nancy got a few things.  The weather is getting more like it should be this time of the year.
Today is always planned.  Its Saturday and you know that means college basketball.

Got Groceries

Yes we did,finally got out to Walmart and bought groceries.  The good part was Nancy had $12.00 in coupons.  The bad part was it still cost quite a bit.  Have you noticed that the boxes and containers for things are smaller yet the same price. For instance town house crackers which we like.  The box is no longer 16oz,it is now 13.5oz.  So I told Nancy looks like we will be switching to ritz crackers instead.  Besides isn't everything better on a ritz?
After getting home and unloading it was time to go to "Little Caesars" for our weekly pizza fix. After all it is wednesday and that means it was only $4.44 for a large with pepperoni.
The weather is still on the cool side but getting warmer each day and by the weekend will be in the 70's.

Rain

 Here is what it looked like yesterday a couple of hours before the predicted big storm that was to happen.  Dark and gloomy skies with a gust of wind every now and then.

 Then the heavens opened up and let a flow of rain with wind,but not as much wind as they thought it would be. The rain lasted out the night and this morning is nice and sunny with a temp of 60°.  We started to Walmart to get some groceries Monday but we've not gotten there yet so maybe today we will get our groceries.  

The 55 watt solar panel that I bought off of ebay is still in the motorhome window where the sun is shining on it to produce enough power to keep the two house batteries charged up.  They are fully charged so now the controller is putting a trickle charge on them. I hope the weather will soon be good enough to where I can get on top of the motorhome to put the solar panel in its permanent position.

Today

Yesterday was spent like most sports fans I imagine,watching the football play off games.  This is about the only time I watch the pro football games.  The sun did shine but the weather was still cool all day long and not much different today.  As you know we eat on the cheap side whenever we can and yesterday was one of those days.  Here in the Tampa aera the McDonalds have their hamburgers on Sunday for 49¢ and cheese burgers for 69¢.  I buy the hamburgers take them home and fix them up with a slice of cheese,tomato and onion.  This makes for a pretty good cheese burger. Told you I was cheap.  Not really as I tell Nancy it has something to do being brought up by my mother when my dad got killed in a coal mining accident. I was 12 and my brother 10 at that time and we had to really watch the little money that mom was getting plus the few cents my brother and I could earn from what ever we could do. Any way I think this up bringing help us in later life.  We will have to get out and do some shopping today which I'm sure will include a trip to Walmart. 

Weather

We've had nice weather,a lot of rain with lightning and thunder and cold last night. So what ever kind of weather you like we have had it in the last few days. Yesterday I went to the flea market to pick up a few things and then just spent the day watching college basketball games on television. I'm feeling much better after being down with whatever it was for almost a month.  I don't usually get that way for a long time before I bounce back.  I just hope whatever it was I don't get it again. 

Nice Visit

We did go to Dallas and Gerry Jude's house up in Wildwood yesterday.  We had a very nice visit and Dallas's brother Denny came over while we there.  Our trip up and back was good with not a over amount of traffic on I-75. 

Here Gerry is playing the small fiddle that was a gift to Dallas.  You can tell she was having a good time.  Dallas and Gerry are two very good friends and very nice people that made us feel very welcome.  It was a very nice day with the temp around 75 and sunny.

Nothing still new.  To tell the truth we are just not feeling the best and that is keeping us from doing things.  We're not real sick just enough to not being our usuall selves.  Yesterday Carolyn and Sam invited us over for some spaghetti,which was good.  I am now having some stomach problems in that when I eat it is causing pain going down.  Maybe to much acid?  Well anyway I know you don't want to hear about all this(after me already telling you about it).
Today Sam,Carolyn,Nancy and I are going up to Wildwood to see our friends Dallas and Gerry Jude that are also from the West Virginia.

Rain Today

We finally got to church yesterday.  It has been a while that Nancy and I both were up to going.  We are on the mend though. Yesterday was a nice sunny day and the temp got up to 75°.  After church Sam,Carolyn,Nancy and myself had dinner at Kaposey's.

It rained almost all night and is still rainning this morning,but thats ok we don't have any plans except going to Walmart sometime today,with hopes that the rain will stop or slow down enough for that.

Flea Market Day

Yesterday we went to the USA Flea Market.  I found some large alligator clips for my battery charger that I have been looking for for months.  I had one of them on my charger that broke,it was made of heavy plastic and the ones I bought are all metal,so they should last a long time.  I also bought some vegetables.  From the flea market it was to Pam's Kitchen for dinner.  I was dissapointed with the food this time as it was not close to being prepared as I had told them and after it came the second time out still wasn't very good.  After the dinner we went to the inside flea market that was in the same strip mall where we had eaten.  The evening was doing the usual things.

Did I say cold!

Someone please tell me I'm in Florida.  I keep hearing "this is not your normal weather for Florida". After two straight winters like this I'm begining to think it is normal weather for Florida. This morning it was 31 when we woke up.
Yesterday Sam and I went down to the Northern Tool and Equipment store at Tarpon Springs to see what it looked like.  This was my first time in the store and I have to say it will not be my last time.  This place has just about any kind of tool a guy would want or need.  After spending around an hour looking around and buying a few things we went to Walmart to get a couple of needed items.  On the way back home we stopped and got a Little Caesar's "Hot and Ready" pizza.  The remainder of the day was a short nap,on the computer and watching a couple of college basketball games on the tv.
