Some flooring down

Well I got a little flooring laid down Friday which was a long day for me because, cutting out for a couple of heat vents.  Also some of the offsets in the floor cabinets does take extra time.
Man could my hands and stiff fingers tell it yesterday morning.
The finger joints were working like old rusty hinges.

Saturday was my big breakfast day and Nancy had the big breakfast of the same thing that was in it as last Saturday.

Also it was a day to go shopping so off with the grocery list in my hand off I went to the Winn Dixie.  I was in luck with a few things on the grocery list they had a buy one get one free.

And yes it was a college basketball game day for me.  Matter of fact it was the last game of the regular season.

For the next week there will be basketball games al day long.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Change of plans

It sure was cold last night, when we woke up this morning the temperature was 38*.

Nancy and I will be going to the Florida Specialist Center again this afternoon for her iron infusion.
That will be another two to three hours of sitting around today.

The change of plans is that I was going to have the new Allure Vinyl Plank flooring in the motor home up to just behind the two captain seats then put carpet in the front.
But tossing it back and forth I decided to lay the flooring all the way and just have carpet on the dog house and steps leading out the door.

So it has been tearing out more carpet, but first I had to dismantle the front passenger  seat to give me room to get up under the dash to remove the carpet.

I know the way I'm doing things are taking a bit longer but I'm trying to not have everything out in the way, because we do have to leave room to walk.
So it is doing a section at a time.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Eating too much

Good start on Saturday.
Nancy usually Nancy has a big breakfast on Saturdays to start my day, but I think she over did it yesterday.
Just look at that plate full, eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, a slice of tomato, biscuit and to was it down coffee.
After eating all of that it was time to get ready to go to a couple of stores to get some things we needed.

First up was to Publix to get ginger roots and Hungarian Hot Peppers which Walmart does not stock.
So Walmart is not a one stop store where you can get all of what you want.
But I did have to go to Walmart to get a few items that Nancy needed and she says only Walmart has them.

After getting back home unloading the things I bought, putting some in the shelves and refrigerator it was time to settle in to watch the college basketball games.

Here are a couple of photos from last week I forgot to put on.
We went to the Hibachi Buffet Grill, here is the fish pond they have at the front where you enter the restaurant.

After our meal Nancy was ready to sit down and watch the fish swimming around.
Both of us really did eat way to much, only because it tasted really good and had a great price for a buffet.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

OK Here we go.

Monday morning Nancy had to go to the Renal Hypertension Center to have the Blood Pressure Monitor put on for 24 hours.
This was very uncomfortable for her especially Monday night because she didn't get much sleep with the monitor going off every half and hour.   It seems if it wasn't going on she would be waiting for it to start up.

Then Tuesday morning it was back to the Renal  Hypertension Center to have the monitor removed.
Tuesday afternoon we had to be on our way to see Nancy's Nephrologist for the reading of the 24 hour monitor.
It showed Nancy's blood pressure high even at night time.
The Nephrologist took one of the of the pills off of her list even though it was to help her kidneys it was causing her blood pressure to be up.
Nancy has been fighting this battle for a while now with some medicine helping her with one thing it is causing her problems with other things.

Wednesday afternoon it was to the Florida Specialist Center to see the doctor and another reading of her blood work up.

The doctor said with her iron level being low he would start a series of  IV drips once a week for three weeks and that should help her with the tired feeling.
Nancy said the drip was a combination of iron and steroids.
The process was a slow drip lasting two and a half hours, and I don't know who was the most tired Nancy or I from the sitting and waiting.

Anyway Yesterday I could tell some improvement because she was singing while she was doing some of her work.  She had not been doing that in a long time and it made me feel better hearing her singing.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Doctors and more doctors

Its starting to feel more like Florida with the temperatures this passed week and the coming week going to be in the 80's.
People are making good use of the swimming pool and adding to their tans.

I have just a few more small details before I start laying the Allure vinyl flooring.  Things are going pretty slow with Nancy having doctors appointments and blood drawn many times.

Nancy has had  iron deficiency anemia all her life and has been checked many times.
So this passed week her Nephrologist had her go to the Florida Specialist Clinic to see if they could find out her problem.
Nancy thought she was going to have a blood transfusion by the time they took so much blood from her. The doctor that talked with her explained to her what they where going to do at what the blood test will show.  He went into great detail at the various things they can do depending at what results of what they find out about her drawn blood.

This week we will be busy with the doctors again like last week.
Tomorrow Nancy has to get a blood monitor for 24 houra then Tuesday see her Nephrologist for the results of that,

Wednesday back to the Florida Specialist Clinic to talk to the doctor and see the results and findings of the drawn blood.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

WOW, we walked today

Nancy had to be at lab Corp yesterday to have her blood drawn for her kidney doctor to check the kidneys and how they are doing.

While we were out we went to Bob Evans to have lunch/dinner.
We were brought our coffee and waiting for our meal which was off of the breakfast menu.

We all know a breakfast meal any time of day or night is always good.  And my big plate/plates of my food was more than enough. So I could not eat all of it so I will have the pancakes for breakfast today.  While we were enjoying our meal, I asked Nancy if she felt good enough to go to Walls Spring Park and do a little walking.  She said she was willing to give it a try.

Since we pass Tarpon Springs on the way I took a ten minute drive through the town to listen to the music and smell the aroma of the Greek food.  We like to do this when we get the chance and all of it with the windows of the car rolled down.

In another fifteen minutes we were in Walls Springs Park.  I took Nancy's walker out of the car and we were on the boardwalk enjoying the nice sunny day.

This is a good place to walk with the breeze coming off the gulf water feels good.

This Heron is in the wrong place to catch fish because the fish were jumping on around the bay.

The Heron and this squirrel with a few ducks is all the wild life we saw.

But that's ok because every turn along the path was a Kodak moment.

It only took one half a mile before Nancy said that it was about all she could take.
She had to stop several times to sit on a bench to rest before she could continue back to the car.

We both agreed that it sure felt good to get out and relax with a walk.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

College Basketball Games

Friday evening I thought I was coming down with something find of what Nancy has been dealing with. But by yesterday evening I had started feeling better and I told Nancy I was probably just extra tired.
Nancy keeps telling me to slow down that at my age I can't do like I used to work.

Yesterday morning Nancy prepare a nice extra large breakfast and it sure did taste mighty good.

After going to the store and getting a few things, it was time for me to settle in to watch the college basketball games.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Laundry today

Wow, would you believe that I went shopping yesterday for some groceries and things that we needed.
I ended up lining out five different stores because I'm a bargain shopper and try to save a little by doing this.

So it was another no working on the house project, but life has to go on with other things getting in the way.
Like today will be the laundry.  As a matter of fact that last night Nancy said if she felt like it she would do the washing in our small washer/spin dryer here in the house.  After she does a couple of loads I will take it down to the laundromat here in the park to dry.
The laundromat is so close that I carry the clothes down to dry then I can come home for an hour. Then walk back down get the dried clothes and  bring them back home.

I'm glad to report that Nancy says she is feeling some what better even though she still has that nagging cough.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Cooking nd working.

I had a couple of stores where I had some shopping to do.
I have them lined up to go where the best prices are.  The first place was Dollar General for a couple of items that we needed.

As I came out of the Dollar General I saw across the road that this copter was just landing.
I was amazed at how well the pilot had set the copter down.  He only had around a foot on each side of the runners setting down on the elevated pad.
Of course I think most of the copter pilot's  are trained in the armed service.

The next stop was Winn Dixie to get a few things to prepare  Nancy and I our meal for the day.
With her not being able to stay up for any length of time I am pulling double duty.

The remodeling is running extra slow at this time.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Chicken Soup

I had to take Nancy back to MedExpress yesterday because she wasn't doing any better.
The ARNP checked her then checked her chart.  When he came back he with her prescriptions for cough syrup, nebulizer  and an inhaler.
I went out today and gathered everything up that she needed.

I also did some grocery shopping to get all I needed to make her some chicken soup.
After all isn't home made chicken soup is good for what ails a person.

It was a very nice day with the temperature in the 80's and is suppose to be for the rest of the week.

I even got myself a chance to get a haircut.  I told the barber that with the hair being cut it felt like someone had left the door open.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

I had to take Nancy to a Med-Care Clinic because she has been coughing and sneezing with a wheezing in her chest.
We went to the Med-Care Clinic because we thought it would be Quick getting into see the doctor. Well that was not the case, it took a total of three hours being there.
Thee doctor told her she had a touch of   Bronchitis he gave her an injection and subscriptions for three different types of medication and told her if she was not better in three days to come back.
The doctor didn't want it to end up being  pneumonia.

I watched some college basketball games yesterday.

Today I will be watch another millions of people will be doing and that is watching the Super Bowl.

It will be Tuesday before I can get back to work on the house because tomorrow Nancy has to go in to her  Nephrologist to be fitted up with a blood monitor to wear for 24 hours.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day
