Fan project finished

Yesterday was a good work day for me. First I was waiting on the Fantastic fan with reversible in and out flow 3 speeds with a thermostat. It was delivered at 12:30 so I got started on it right away. I had to take out the old vent and clean up all the caulking before installing the fan. After setting it in place with four screws to hold it steady I came off the motorhome to wire it up to see how everything looked and sounded. Then back on the roof to finish putting all the screws in and going around it with self-leveling dicor. Then back off into the motorhome to check it out.
There she is purring away like a big ole cat, now ain't that pretty. Nancy has been wanting the fantastic fan for a spell now and so she is happy. We do a fair amount of boondocking and parking overnight without electrical hookups so this is going to help a bunch. The high speed takes only 3 amps so with our 325 watts of solar and a good battery bank it will not be a problem running it.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Things to do

Even though we are in the rv park we are still not settled in yet with going to the Laundromat doing the clothes and Nancy going to see her kidney doctor. She told the doctor that the pain medication that she has been taking does not relieve the pain very much. He prescribe her something different to see if it will help her.
I did get up to the roadside market on route 52 and couldn't believe the great prices they had on the fruit and vegetables. The tomatoes are great tasting and taste like they were just picked off the vine.
We are still trying to get use to the park we are in and I imagine it will take a while after being in the other park for around ten years.  After all nothing stays the same things keep changing.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Florida for the winter

We arrived at Tropic Breeze RV Park around 2:00 it took a while to get checked in as they couldn't find the papers where I had a reservation. But they did get a hold of someone that assured them I had a reservation and a deposit for a site.  Let me start out by saying this is an old park that does not have a swimming pool which is fine with us as we very seldom use a pool. The sites are close like when you let out the slide it comes even with the next site but I knew it wasn't a resort by looking at the photos online. I have to say that the people that I have met are very friendly.  This is what they call a mobile home/rv park so there are a lot of permanent residents. The rv's that are here for the winter range from large diesels to the van type.
It looks like the park will serve our purpose for this winter.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

To the winter park

Today is the day we move on to Port Richey and to Tropic Breeze RV Park.  It will be a little strange being at a different park this year after spending around ten years at Orchid Lake first in the motorhome and then in our park model. This will be the first year in seven that we will be spending winter time in the motorhome, but come springtime it will be a lot easier getting ready to leave as we will not have to take things from the park model to the motorhome. Anything to make it easy when you start to put on a few years in life. Just like clothes or shoes no more going in style now it is dressing for comfort.
We will be taking our time(not unusual)getting ready since its only a short distance from Bushnell to Port Richey.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Great Thanksgiving day

Thursday we did go over to Jeremy's for a Thanksgiving dinner.
We passed a large cabbage patch that was on both sides of the road.
Some of the large dinner.

Andy and Hannah waiting to dig in.
Can you see Hook one of the two boxers Jeremy and Allison have.
That's Moses waiting with Hook for some turkey. Everyone likes turkey.
We had a very nice day with Jeremy, Allison, Andy and Hannah on this Thanksgiving day and so glad we were able to share it with them. After eating the dinner as everyone seems to do is getting sleepy after a time we said our goodbyes until the next time we left and came home.

Friday we were on the road again and eventually at the Breezy Oaks RV Park for a few days and then it is on to Port Richey where we will spend the winter.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Be Thankful

First off I would like to wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving.
Monday we took our time getting ready(like that is unusual)disconnecting the electric, pupping in the slides. Then we had a sandwich with Nick and Joann after that we were on our way.
But with a stop at Krogers to fuel up with gas at 1.72.9 and .03 off with the Kroger card.
We took I-75 south to Hahira to the Cains Creekside RV Park which takes the PassPort America Card.
We had dinner with Jeremy, Allison, Hannah and Andy at the Texas Roadhouse.
Then again yesterday again at the Smok'n Pig for some BBQ chicken and pork.
The food at these places was good but not as good as the visit with the family.
View out our windshield of the geese on the lake at Cains Campground.
Couple of fixer uppers that we saw along the way.
The Christmas decorations are up in Hahira.
Today we will have Thanksgiving dinner with Jeremy and his family.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Warner Robins, Georgia

We left Lake Sinclair Wednesday as planned it didn't take as long to get ready to shove off because I was able to hook the car up behind the motorhome Tuesday evening.
Of course the weather was rain on our way down to Warner Robins.  I would like to say it was a good trip but when I got within 20 miles of my brother Nicks house I sneezed  and all of a sudden my nose started bleeding I mean really in a steady stream. I keep clean rags beside my drivers seat so I grabbed one and held it up to my nose.  Well I had filled three rags before it finally stopped all the time I was still driving down the road Nancy telling me to I had better stop and take care of myself. I use to have nose bleeds when I was younger years ago but this is the first time this has happened in years. I'm a loud sneezer so maybe I ruptured a small vessel in the nose.
Wednesday night we had a hard rain(will it ever stop). Yesterday was a very nice day with the temp close to 70 degrees(yeah). Nick and I were out running around all day.  I bought a new toilet for the motorhome not because our old one broke but because it was old and looking kind of shabby. After getting back home I installed the new in short time. Nick and I will be running around today again since the weather is going to be nice.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Real cold

Not to much is happening with us. We had to go into Milledgeville to get our prescriptions refilled for our medicines and then a few other times for some groceries.
We like the fall weather but this is ridiculous we have woke up the last two mornings with the temp setting at 32 degrees that's not fall that's right down winter time. That cold and frost on the car.
Yes it is time to head on south where I see on the weather map 80 degree temps. But not until we make a couple more visits.  We will leave here Wednesday.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Thank you Veterans

Yes I want to thank you for your service to your country and its people. May you live in peace and comfort.
It rained all night Saturday and Sunday it was cold and raining as we got ready for the road. It was so cold and damp with the temp 52 degrees that we had the heater on the heater on all the way to Lake Sinclair. The good thing was that we got the site that always seems to be open and waiting for us.
There was a break in the rain yesterday so I walked down to the swimming beach and boat dock. These three guys were fishing and they caught a couple of catfish.  The lake is up a bit but not very much.
This guy is filleting the fish on the spot, he sure had a sharp knife that went through the fish like butter.
It looks as though they pulled the sand back on the beach so it would not be consumed by the lake.
We will be here a week or so as we usually do when we stop here. We have been stopping here coming and going for a number of years.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.  Don't forget to thank a vet.

Onward south

Today is the day that we make our move to head farther on south.  After 11 days we are ready to drive on. We will go to Lake Sinclair our regular stop on the way south we enjoy the area there and have been going there for quite a few years. It is raining this morning so hooking up will be a little rough. I've never started from this area going to Lake Sinclair so I'll just let the old GPS lead me, no telling where I will end up going but when I do this it is always an adventure.

Thaks for stopping by and have a great day.
