We finally got out yesterday. We went down to the flea market to look around. Nice looking covered wagon.
Nancy was the only one that bought anything. She got a good deal on some books so that made her happy. She loves to read her books.
From the flea market we went to Ella's to have early dinner. We all took the early special, hamburger steak, smothered in onions, fries and cole slaw.
Then it was off to a couple of thrift shops. One consignment shop where we didn't have time to look because they were closing.
We went over to beach side of Sunset Beach and went up and down the back streets to look at the beach houses. We had a nice evening being out running around.
Thanks for stopping in to visit.
This is the travels of Joe and Nancy. Nancy is part Cherokee and I'm Hungarian, thus the name of our blog. We started full timing May,1,2000. We traveled in our motorhome visiting beaches, state parks, national parks, corp of engineer parks. We have overnighted in Walmarts, 24 hour grocery store, boat ramps, FlyingJ. Now with health issues and old age. Plus, we have not used the motorhome in a few years, this part of our life has come to an end.

Lazy Day
Boy,yesterday was a lazy day. Our daughter Sherry still is suffering from the sun burn. So needless to say she didn't feel like going out to do anything. We didn't want to go and leave her, thus the lazy day.
Maybe today will be different and we can be out doing something.
Have yourself a great day.

Busy Day
Yesterday was a busy day. It was doing the laundry and then to Walmart for grocery shopping. While the girls were getting ready to go I was walking around the campground just snapping my camera. We have no plans for the day. I don't think we will be going to the beach, because Sherry has a bad sunburn from the other day.
The bath house.
Small flowers on the ground.
Is that a sand hornet going into the ground?
A couple or three twisted trees. How do they get started and grow like that?
This is the tent section of the campground. A nice place to pitch a tent.
A bee enjoying the flowers.

Good Beach Day
Yesterday was a good day at the beach. It was close to a perfect day with the sunshine and a cool breeze blowing. There were more people out yesterday, but still room to put the loungers down without being crowded in.
We counted four shrimp boats in the distance, where as the day before we didn't see any.
Even a cruiser going up and down the beach with a group of people.
There were broken sand dollar pieces more than usual that had washed ashore. I found a whole one the size of the palm of my hand.
We had to watch our step because of the jelly fish on the shore. Must have been a small storm out in the sea for the seaweed and stuff that came ashore. It sure was nice to relax in the sun with the breeze and not get hot.
Thanks for stopping by and come back often. I enjoy your company.

Beach Day--Not!
All set up for a month here at the Wishing Well Campground. I don't know what the bush with the flowers are in front of the motorhome is. These bushes are all over the campground and they have a nice sweet scent.
The beach loungers are lined up and ready for the beach when we decide to go.
Even though it was cloudy most of the day we thought we would go out to the beach. That was not a good idea.
Even the birds knew it was not a good day for the beach. There were a few brave people out and even less birds. That sounds like the birds were a little smarter.
This line of pelicans flew over and didn't even bother to land.
There is a 30% chance of rain today and a 70% tomorrow so we may have to wait a couple of days to go to the beach. That will be alright since we are do to do the laundry. After getting back from a cool day walking the beach Nancy made a pot of broccoli cheese soup that hit the spot and tasted very good.

Sunset Beach,NC
Yesterday we left the Walmart in Conway and was on our way to Sunset Beach,NC. Sherry wanted to go through Myrtle Beach so we drove through.
In the distance we could see the big Ferris Wheel.
They've put in a zip line ride since we were here last year.
They still have a bunch of the Put-Put Golf courses.
We were getting a little hungry and Sherry had some coupons for Burger King so we went in and ate a little.
After eating at the Burger King we drove through Calabash,NC and soon arrived at the Wishing Well Campground. We will be here for a month.

Conway,SC
Yesterday we left Scuffletown USA Campground heading toward Myrtle Beach. This was an old campground but it served the purpose.
The campground has a peacock that roams the ground and yells out every so often.
When we got to Columbia we had to stop at the Lizard's Thicket Resaurant. We had been to one of these a couple of years ago and knew the food was good.
After enjoying the meal we did make the right choice. I love the way the fix the collard greens.
After our meal we were off toward Sumter, where we passed several National Guard Armory compounds.
Then it was the town of Sumter, home of Shaw AFB. Man this was not the time to be traveling thru there. They had an air show on the base and we got there in time when it was over. The traffic was bumper to bumper and a couple of times some made it hood to trunk as they were on the side of the road where the cops were looking the accident over.
We did make it though and on into Conway at the Walmart for another overnighter.
Today we will make it to Sunset Beach,NC where will will be staying for a month. We stay at the Wishing Well Campground which is an older park with 30 amp electric, water and sewer hook-up. No club house no pool just a camp site. Suits us and at 1/2 the price of the other campgrounds around it is a bargain.
Have yourself a great day.

Made it
Well we made it ti Greenville and found a Walmart to spend the night. We had a good night but, this morning Sherry was out to the car getting in her bag to get a change of clothes. On her way back in she had her head down and ran into the slide out cracking her head and cutting it open. she was bleeding bad I held a cloth on it and it stopped bleeding. looking to see how bad it was and expecting to see a large gash on her head. But it was only a small place and not very deep. Needless to say she had a rotten day.
Nancy and I went over to see her sister Sally. We had a nice visit.
We are staying at the Scuffletown USA Campground tonight.
Thanks fo dropping by.

Simpsonville,South Carolina
Yesterday Nick and I went out to the air base to get some groceries. When we were abot to leave the base they decided to have an emergency exercise and shut down the base locking the gates. There we sat one hour in line waiting for them to finish and open the gates. When we did get back to the house it was back to Publix for more groceries. We had a real nice visit with Nick and Joan.
Today after filling up the motorhome at the Walmart station at $3.27 a gallon we were off toward Greenville,South Carolin via 2 lane roads.
We came to the small town of Maxeys,Georgia and got out to take some photos.
This is what remains of a large store.
Inside of the store. It must have been some store back in the day.
The old post office in the building which also houses the town hall and fire department.
Old train Depot.
A fine house in time passed. We enjoyed our adventure today.
I hope you have had a good day also.

Messn' Around
A little light on what has been going on.
Nick and I have been running around like we do when we come to visit.
We went to Lowes,Home Depot and Robins Supply Store. We also went to a couple of grocery stores. We had Little Caesar's Hot & Ready Pizza for our dinner which is one of Nancy's favorite thing to eat.
While driving around we saw that gas had dropped and 4 cents. Which is not a good price, but any drop in price is better.
Another good day which I enjoyed being with my brother.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day.

Warner Robins,Georgia
We did go to the church sunday night and had a great time at the gosel sing featuring the Georgians which included our grandson Jeremy. They did a great concert. After the singing they had food down stairs and like always ate to much. Its hard to beat those church eatings.
This morning we got on the road and arrived in Warner Robins around 3:30.
Brother Nick and Joan had us a nice ham dinner which was good. Later they surprised me with a Birthday cake. Nick thought about having the fire department on standby while lighting all the candles.
We will be here visiting until thursday, then we are off to South Carolina.
