Conway,SC

Yesterday we left Scuffletown USA Campground heading toward Myrtle Beach. This was an old campground but it served the purpose.
The campground has a peacock that roams the ground and yells out every so often.
When we got to Columbia we had to stop at the Lizard's Thicket Resaurant. We had been to one of these a couple of years ago and knew the food was good.
After enjoying the meal we did make the right choice. I love the way the fix the collard greens.
After our meal we were off toward Sumter, where we passed several National Guard Armory compounds.
Then it was the town of Sumter, home of Shaw AFB. Man this was not the time to be traveling thru there. They had an air show on the base and we got there in time when it was over. The traffic was bumper to bumper and a couple of times some made it hood to trunk as they were on the side of the road where the cops were looking the accident over.
We did make it though and on into Conway at the Walmart for another overnighter.
Today we will make it to Sunset Beach,NC where will will be staying for a month. We stay at the Wishing Well Campground which is an older park with 30 amp electric, water and sewer hook-up. No club house no pool just a camp site. Suits us and at 1/2 the price of the other campgrounds around it is a bargain.
Have yourself a great day.
