Vicki, our first-born daughter arrived by plane from Lexington this past Sunday to spend a week with us and it was good to see her again.
Wednesday, we made a short trip up to Cedar Key so she could see what the town looked like since it has not changed from the old days.
But first we stopped to see this old engine in the small town of Gulf Hammock
Here's Nancy and Vicki standing in front of an old steam engine that used to haul trees to a near by sawmill all owned by the same company.
Front of the steam engine.
Couple of signs telling about the sawmill and town that the lumber company built.
You can click the photos to enlarge.
Here is the part of town that looks like it was built on stilts that stick out over the gulf waters.
We picked one of the restaurants to have our meal.
We watched the seagulls.
And pelicans as we enjoyed our meal.
