Monday,May 16

Well we did leave the Flea Market this time. We took a slow drive and ended up just north Of Sneads,Florida at the Three Rivers State Park. The park has water and electric connections for $12.00 a night. Half price for Florida residents. So My price was $6.57 including the tax. I have a Florida winter resident drivers license.
So the daily average this summer trip is $7.79.

Trash and treasure

Its amazing what you can see in flea markets. I guess this is what attracts people to them. In this picture is a very large chandelier. The tag on it says it came out of the old Sands Hotel in Las Vegas. How does a big chandelier like that end up in Gulf Breeze,Florida. Price tag $800.00. Posted by Hello

Bar-B-Q

Today was the day to go to the laundromat to do the laundry. After we got thru we stopped here at this place along the road that we have passed several days. Slow cooked real pit Bar-B-Q. We had the pulled pork dinner with baked beans. These places along the roadside taste so much better than when you buy in a restaurant. You know its going to be good when you see the pit outside with the smoke flowing in the air. We also knew it was going to be fresh because we always saw a crowd at this place. The average for the camping 17 days out is $7.13 a day.

Got a deal

Today we were suppose to have left the Flea Market. Not so. When I went to tell them that we were leaving they said they hated to see us go. So I told them give me a break on the site rent and I would stay another week. Guess what? They did. Sometimes it pays to do a little bargaining. We got the site lowered from $10.00 to $7.00 so as of now the average camping stay is $8.25 a night. The great thing about fulltiming is no schedule to keep.

Time to Move Again

Well tomorrow is the day to leave the Flea Market camping that we have enjoyed for nine days. I report that the flea markets will let you stay for 5-6 dollars a night with electric hookup. We had a full hookup site so we had to pay $10.00 a night, still a pretty good price. A few people want to know how much it costs to fulltime. I will start reporting what the average we pay for the camping part of it. I don't think you should have to pay 25 or 35 dollars a night to camp. Of course my wife thinks I'm cheap. As of today 12 days out we've paid $100.26 that is an average of $8.35 a night. Some might think that is good but,I think it needs to come down a bit. We'll have to work on it.

Flea Markets

Did you know you can stay overnight or longer at a lot of flea markets for as little as 5 or 6 dollars with electric. These are not resort type places but they are a lot cheaper. We are spending at least a week here for that price, there are two other campgrounds in the area that charges 32-34 a night. We are a short ways from the gulf beaches.

Hurricanes

This is whats left of a condo complex after the hurricane on Navarre Beach. It was very sad to see all the damage that this area had. All the homes and condo on the beachside had so much damage. These places will all have to been torn down and rebuild. The long pier is closed. Theres one gas station and one restaurant open. There is sand all over the place and the beach is a mess.
