Hang in there, we've almost got another year in.

I want to say Happy New Year to each and every one of you.   You don't know how I appreciate you.

This a very special day for Nancy and me.

It's our 68th Wedding Anniversary.

68 years ago, a 17-year-old girl and 18-year-old boy decided to spend their life together.

And to think I had an aunt to tell me it would not work, that we were too young to get married, and she also said it would not last more than six months.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

A Visit

                                                                     

Well not actually it was Sherry's husband Mark.  It was their Anniversary this pasted week so he came down so they could celebrate it together.

Sherry put up the Christmas tree.

Sherry is really in the Christmas spirit and put up two trees.

Sherry and I took Mark to the airport yesterday to catch his plane back to West Virginia.

Mark likes a good hot dog and since there's a Coney Island close by, we had the time for a good hot dog.

And the prices are really good also.

Sherry had a regular size hot dog and fries.  I had the foot long and fries, while Mark had the foot long and a regular with a large fries.   The funny thing was that Sherry, and I had just as many as Mark had.

It was good to see Mark again and enjoyed being able even for a short.  The time always seems to pass to fast.

Yesterday was college basketball for me. Not a good day winning as the two teams I was wanting to win lost their game.

Nancy is about the same health and still hurting most of the time.

As for me I've got and appointment with a nasal clinic to see why my nose will bleed at any time.

Things pile up.

 Last part of this past week was taking care and of things that I had to do.

                                                                      

First stop was to the Post Office to buy a few stamps.  I always just buy four stamps which last us a long time.

Next was to buy gas at the price of $2.86 a gallon. I still had a half tank but when it it at a low price I get it filled up.

Next was Winn Dixie to get me some Hungarian Peppers.

Then it was a stop into the bank, where you always have to take a little out or put a little in.

Had to get the car washed.

Getting the car washed here it looks like you are entering an arcade game.

Of course there's always a Walmart stop.

Had to stop at Kohl's for an Amazon return.

Dinner out

 this past Wednesday Sherry and I did something we were waiting for a couple of weeks.

                                                                         

Yes, it was the Golden Corral Buffet & Grill to open.

This one was closed for maybe like four years, so after that long being closed it took about six monthe to get it back into shape.

I started off with a bowl of their potato soup and it was really good.

What I really was waiting for is to try the Signature Sirloin Steak.

I had the fries that was better than I expected, then came the steak.

It was good but not as good as I remembered their steaks being.

Of course, it has a few years since I have had a steak from Golden Corral so I may have forgotten what they did taste like.

I did get another steak with ham, cabbage, peas with grilled peppers and onions.

I had the carrot cake for dessert, and it did not disappoint me.

I think they make the best carrot cake that I have eaten.

It was a nice evening having dinner out with our baby daughter (Sherry).
