Friends

Our friends Earl and Lena Fries came out for a visit and dinner. Nancy had spaghetti,garlic toast and salad. We have friends all over the country but Earl and Lena are some of those special friends that people have. We always enjoy their company. A very good day with old friends.

Good View

We have site 51 here on Douglas Lake. We get to see all the boats as they are launched. . Once again this week-end the boaters are out. They have a fishing tournament each week-end I found out that the cash prize was $2500.00 tonight. Not bad for a night of fishing.

Smokie Mountains

We rode over the mountain today and it was a beautiful site. In a few months the leaves will be turning into their beautiful colors.

Black Berries?

We stopped on top of the mountain and got out to look around. When I looked over the mountain I saw these black berries,I couldn't believe it. I'm not used to black berries still getting ripe this late in the year. I guess its because they are at such an high elavation.

We got back home and set out for awhile just taking in the scenery. Heard this noise and looked up. This Paraplane was flying over the lake with two people in it. These are suppose to be safe with the inflatable parachute attached to it. They had the little motor rev'ed all the way up.

Boating

I was right. The boat ramp was over flowing today. If some of the boaters hadn't left when some were coming in I don't know where they would have parked their trucks and trailers.

Douglas Lake

We did get a nice site at Douglas Lake. We'll be here for the next 15 days. We always enjoy being here at the lake.

Boat Ramp

Even though it is thursday there were quit a few boaters out today. I would think this place will be full for the week-end.

We did take Dee and the great grandchildren to Georgia to meet Sherry. The little ones are really good travelers.
We are back at Wonderland Acres Park. We are going to try and get a site out at Douglas Lake Thursday. We always enjoy being out there.

Getting Lazy

I'm really getting lazy about posting.
We went on a little trip in the car up to West Union,WV to see Amanda and Dee our granddaughters and their families. We left the motorhome parked in the Wonderland Acres Campground in Wears Valley,TN. We brought Dee and her two children back with us. Tomorrow will will take her down to Madison,Georgia where we will meet Her mom Sherry to pick her up and tahe her back to Valdosta,Ga.
We will be coming back,so it will be an all day trip.

Gatlinburg,Tennessee

We took a ride up to Gatlinburg today. This is a picture of the space needle in town.
