Visiting

We decided Monday to come up to Valdosta,Georgia to visit with our daughter and grand children. Since I didn't have a doctors appointment for awhile it was a good idea. We have had a very good time here and now when we get everything together we will start back home. It is always good to visit family and to see how much the great grand children have grown.

Cool Everywhere

It was 46* this morning here in New Port Richey,Florida. The weather man say that is not a record. The record for this date was in 1986 when the temp was 36*. Of course it is warmer than most places. I guess everyone is waiting for warmer temps.

Walking

We went for a quite walk out in J B Starkey Park. That is it was quite until a plane flys over going into or coming from the Tampa Airport.

Still Growing

The baby cranes are growing fast . Today they are 16 days old.

Ground Breaking

First Baptist Church of New Port Richey,Florida had their ground breaking today on site of the new church. They had the preaching in this tent. After the preaching there was dinner on the ground. A good old fashion day today.

It was an old fashion ground breaking with the members pulling an old plow. They had long ropes hooked to the plow.

Spring is in the Air

The flowers are in bloom here in New Port Richey,Florida. Its all pointing to spring time. Boating on the river or on the lake,hiking in the woods it isn't far off.

Hatched

Well both of the Sandhill Crane eggs have hatched. The chicks are 4 days old and growing. They will grow very fast. Here they are walking and stretching with the proud parents.

Baby Crane

Not a good picture. (you can click the picture and get a better view)Could not bring it in close enough to see,at the top of the pic on the left you may see crane legs with the baby crane and 1 egg not yet hatched. Everyone in the parked watched the baby bird walking around and stretching its wings. People in the park was happy to see the egg hatched out.

Flea Market

Our friends Earl and Lena are coming over today and we'll be going to the flea market. We'll have to look hard and see if we can buy something that we just can't do with out.

Visitor

We were sitting under our awning today when our next door neighbor says you have a visitor coming. We got up to see who? This large turtle was coming down the street and it decided to cut through our site on the way to where it was going.

With the sun shining and temperature around 80 even this little lizard was enjoying it.
