Rain Over

Well after a day and night of rain it has finaly quit. It is bright and sunny this morning with the temp in the mid 60's. We will do our walking and I don't know what else. We seldom make plans for a day,we just let it happen. Not a very exciting day for some people but its what we like so thats what we do or not do.

A walk by the river

We did get out to walk on the sidewalk by the river in New Port Richey. It was a little cool to walk so we didn't do to much.

Boardwalk

We went back to JB Starkey Park to finish walking. We found this boardwalk that we hadn't seen before. It was a nice little walkway out to the small canal that flows around the park.

Rain

We woke up to rain this morning. According to the weather man it is suppose to rain all day with up to an inch of rain. Its been dry here so I guess we needed the rain.

Sunset

We love to go out and see the sunset over the water.

Shuttle

While watching the sunset the Casino Shuttle came in from the Casino Ship that is out in the gulf.

WalMart Pharmacy!

We went to the Walmart Pharmacy to get our prescriptions filled. The doctor wrote to have a 90 day supply for us but,we told them give us 30 day as we couldn't afford to pay for 90 days at one time. So she wrote 30 days down and told us it would be about an hour. We came back in an hour and still had to wait another 40 minutes(why does this always happen?). Finally she said "we have your prescriptins ready". No they didn't,they filled the 90 days. Again we said we only wanted 30 day supply. So we came home. Going down today. Hope they have the right ammount this time.

Got it

Well did get our medicene. Did more working today ended up with a total of 6 1/2 miles.
On way back from WalMart saw a bad accident on the south side of Little Road. A guy was lying in the middle of the highway the result of a motorcycle wreck. Don't know how bad he was hurt,he wasn;t moving and a lot of people around him. The ambulance or police hadn't arrived yet.

Cool Down!

After a couple of near 80 degree days it has cooled down. The temp this morning was 53*. They call it a cold front that has moved in but,the temp is going to be 70* today and around 66* tomorrow.

Fish Fry

We're going to have a fish fry today at the park. This is Tuesday,I don't know why but I thought you're suppose to have fish frys on Fridays. I guess its just me.

Smell the fish?

The men did the fish frying. There were about ten of them,some doing the battering,some unwraping and had four deep fryers with two baskets in each.
They did a real good job.

Everybody

Everyone enjoyed the fish. We had fish,potato salad,cole slaw,bread and a drink.
Didn't even have to stand in line. We sat down and the ladies served us.

A walk in the park

After the fish fry we went out to J B Starkey State Park for a walk. This is a nice park with some open praire like flat spots. Also has wooded trails under the trees.

What we saw?

We saw this armadillo as we were walking the trail. It was evening time and it was finding a meal. Armadillos are kin to the anteater and eat ants and grub worms. They can smell so good that they can smell their meal six inches below the surface. The armadillo and humans are the only known ones that can carry leprosy.

Florida RV Super Show

Yes thats what it cost to get in. Before you go in the show theres a $5.00 parking fee.

Parking

They seem to have more motorhomes parking at the show than any other type of rv.

Wash Day

Not a whole lot planned for the day. By the time we get started and finished with the washing most of the day will be gone. We are really laid back but I guess its ok.
When we started this fulltime lifestyle we knew we wouldn't be in a hurry or maintain a schedule of any kind.

Tampa RV Show

We were going to go to the show today with our friends Earl and Lena. Earl called last night and said Lena had a little sore throat. So we had a reschedule and we are going friday.

Clowns

How would you like to have someone like this for a neighbor. He is one of a few of the people that dress up as clowns and goes to the nursing homes in the area to intertain the people that are there. Dick says that the old people get a lot of joy out of seeing them.

Looking Good

Here is a tree cutter behind our motorhome. The park is having the trees trimmed and some of them cut completely down. It looks a lot better and gives us more room .

There it goes again

Yes its the gas prices going up and up. It doesn't matter if we hold back using gas or not. You know it will go down a little then raise up alot.

Big Celebration

Epiphany Day 2006

This was the 100th anniversary of Epiphany Day in Tarpon Springs,Florida. The afternoon started with the young men diving in for the cross. The one to retrive the cross had a special blessings for the year. There was a crowd of around 100,000 for the event this year.

Clysdale Horses

Even the Clysdale Horses were brought in for the celebration. This was a big hit for many of the people. They were wanting to have their pictures made beside the famous horses and wagon.

Dancers

The streets were filled with dancers in costume. The streets down at the sponge docks were closed for this years event.

Guitar Man

Even had a lone guy playing the guitar and harmonica trying to get a few tips.
