We went to the Anderson Park in Tarpon Springs for our walk today. The Park is surrounded by Tarpon Lake. The lake has a lot of green grass and weeds in the outer fringes..
This is the travels of Joe and Nancy. Nancy is part Cherokee and I'm Hungarian, thus the name of our blog. We started full timing May,1,2000. We traveled in our motorhome visiting beaches,state parks,national parks,corp of engineer parks. We have overnighted in Walmarts, 24 hour grocery store, boat ramps, FlyingJ. Now with health issues and old age. Plus, we have not used the motorhome in a few years, this part of our life has come to an end.

Alligators
The covering on the outer edge of the lake is a good place for alligators to hid. We saw a few small ones,I guess the larger ones were staying out of site. The sign says it all..

Zephyrhills
I haven't posted in awhile because,we've just been taking it easy and not doing to much. We did go over to Zephyrhills Tuesday to visit with our friends Lena and Earl Fries. They are heading bak to Tennessee today to start work at Dollywood early. We went ot for dinner(Panco Villas) at a Mexican Restaurant. We had the Combination Platter-beff burrito.chicken enchilaea with refried beans and salad. This tasted good and a plate full. The rain has settled in and it looks like rain for the nex 4 or 5 days. Looks like we will have to do our walking in the mall or some covered place if it rains to hard. We've got our rain coats so a little rain won't be to bad.

Out Door Market
One thing that I have always enjoyed is the outdoor vegetable markets. Being here in Florida it is great to shop these year round. Bought some veggies the other day,everything taste so fresh. The tomatoes were .69 a pound,now that was a good deal. Considering the cost in Walmart was 1.56. The temperature today got up to 76* . .

Old Jim
During our walking around behind the mall today we saw an old guy setting in a chair beside his car. We struck up a conversation and soon found out his name was Jim. He's living here in Florida now he's original from New York or like he says from Long Island. He was out there with his exercise equipment,look like 20 or 30 pound dumb bells and one of those bars with the heavy spring in the middle. He looked to be in pretty fare shape. When he told us he was 79 years old it was hard to believe. He says he works out if you don't use it you lose it.

Nice Walk
The river walk in this park is nice and brezzy on a warm day. Along the walkway are park benches and picnic tables for sitting around. You can pass the day away watching the boats as they go lazily along the river or you might try your luck fishing. Whichever you choose you will have a relaxing day..

Lake
In this park was a nice size lake with a small swimming beach. Not much walking trail here but good place for a day out..
Bike Trail
We went to the park with the bike trail again. We walked out farther and was surprised to find cool water and paper cups. This was good because we were talking we should have brought us some water to drink.
