Another Trail

Well yaou can see what trail we hiked today. Yesterday I thought we might see a waterfall but,it was only a small mountain stream.

Take a Hike

After breakfast this morning we decided to walk around the campground. As we started we saw a sign that said trail to pinic area .9 miles so we took the trail. Thru the mountain up and down and around. We must have missed a turn off because we had to have gone 1.5 miles so we turned around. On the way back we heard running water down the hill and saw another trail. Maybe there is a small waterfall down there guess we will try that tomorrow.

Amphitheater

This is the amphitheater where the ranger gives a talk on saturday nights.
Notice the large fire ring up front to the right.

Camp Site

Here is our camp site for the next 14 days. Not free but, half price with the Golden Age Passport $7.50. 50 amp electric with a dump station and fresh water. Thought we were out in the middle of nowhere. Middlesboro,Ky is only six miles away and it has everything we need.

Made It

. 
Well here we are at Cumberland Gap National Park. Wasn't much of a drive it was only 20 miles from where we stayed last night.

Cherokee Lake

. 
This is a small section of Cherokee Lake. Quite a few people are fishing here. I did some fishing didn't catch anything. Guess I'll try later or maybe tomorrow.

Well saw this boat ramp beside the road so guess we're going to stay here for the night.

Six More Days

Well its six more working days until we're finished working for Dollywood.

Gas prices dropping 
Couldn't believe it. Went down to Sevierville and the gas prices were 10 cent a gallon cheaper. This is good since we will be leaving soon.

Well it has come time to leave Dollywood. June 18th will be our last day. While we hate to leave our many friends we have made.
The lure of the road and to be free is just too much. We will be posting stories and pictures of our journey.
