Motorhome duties

Saturday I brought the motorhome over close to the house where Sherry could start to clean up the inside and freshen it up.  While she was doing that I changed the oil, filter and greased all the grease points including the drive shaft. After taking a short break I then did a much needed wash job. Needless to say yesterday I was really sore in all the joints. I don't know if I'm out of shape or just getting old? Of course it could be both. I don't think it is old age since I will only be 77 on Thursday.
Today Sherry was still busy on the inside while I cleaned up the back side of the refrigerator and fired it up. Next was doing the same thing to the water heater.
Tomorrow I will go see my cardiologist to see how I'm doing.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Airport

Yesterday we had a large storm pass through that I had to drive in on the way to the airport to pick up Sherry. It was so much that I could hardly see the road at times. But we did get to the airport safe and almost sound. The light was suppose to be in at 12:22 but when I went in to check it was scheduled to land at 12:41. When they did land I met Sherry she told They had been circling for 20 minutes and thought they would have to go to Orlando because of the storm.

On the way back home we stopped to look and walk in the Phillippe Park. Sherry had never been to this park so she enjoyed taken photos of the area.
This always makes a good shot.
She always likes to see the alligators in the wild so we also stopped at the John Chesnut Park where we did see a couple of alligators.
By the time we got home the sun was out nice and bright. So we had a nice day with Sherry.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

A little busy

Nancy did see the kidney doctor and everthing is about the same so she is holding her own. That is good news because with stage 4 kidney failure the kidneys are already damaged. She has to watch what she eats to make sure she doesn't get any of the stuff to do her harm.
Yesterday Nancy had her haircut and today we will pick up Sherry at the airport at 12:30pm.
The next few weeks we will be busy and no doubt get very tired getting the motorhome cleaned and ready for the summer travels.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Busy this week

The next few weeks will be busy for Nancy and I.  Today we will be at the Walmart to have our eye checked then fitted for glasses. Tomorrow Nancy goes to the kidney doctor to see how her kidneys are functioning, Thursday we pick up our daughter (Sherry) at the airport. This weekend I will bring the motorhome over close to the house where we will begin getting it ready for our summer travels. Sherry and I will be doing most of the work Since Nancy is not able to do that much. Although she does keep on going she never was one to let things get her completely down.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

A little work

I've been in the motorhome the last few days just knocking around a little.  The old barrel chair behind the passenger seat has been worn out and uncomfortable for some time is now out. Yesterday I unbolted t, took it apart and threw it in the dumpster. It will be replaced with a Lazyboy wall hugger/recliner.
I bought the Lazyboy a couple of days ago and I've got it in the florida room enjoying it until we get ready to hit the road for the summer. We will be slowly getting the motorhome ready with no definite time of leaving.
Nancy canceled her last two therapy sessions as the last one made her back so sore she could hardly move. She will be going to the kidney doctor next week to see how her kidney are doing.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Good times again

Cherisa, Haven, Nancy and I went down to John Chesnut Park to walk and and see if we could see any of the animals that call the park home. Of course Nancy made it to the first bench and parked herself there until we did our walking.
We saw this osprey feeding on what looked like a field mouse as we came into the park.
We saw a total of twelve deer during the time we were there.
Saw some of the wild flowers.
Haven and his mom enjoying one of the large trees that has its branches spread out.
We had a very nice day and week while they were here.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

More visitors

Yes we had more people visiting us. Our grandson and his mom (Haven and Cherisa) from Sevierville, Tennessee come to stay for a week. Its good to see our family.
Today we went down to Honeymoon Island State Park so they could enjoy the Gulf waters. Haven is 16 years old and what better way to go on Spring Break than the sandy beaches of Florida.

First we had to drive across the causeway.
A boat load of people enjoying a ride out in the gulf.
A crane and barge doing some kind of work on the beach.
Haven and Cherisa enjoying a little cooling off in the water.
There was a crowd along the causeway and the island today and always as it is on a nice and sunny day. We only stay an hour but it was long enough that we got a little sun burn even though we had sun tan lotion on. The sun and the white sand made for a hot time.  We did enjoy it.  As usual Nancy was overly tired by the time we got back home.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Nice Visit

Vicki and Rebekah did get here Monday so that day was a day of just catching up on whats been happening.
Tuesday they wanted to go to Tarpon Springs and to have a Greek meal at Hella's. After a good meal it was time to go over and get some of the fresh pastries.
We then crossed the street to look at the sponge boats.
This one had a really good day gathering the sponges. It had several different type of sponges.
Vicki and Rebekah has never been to Howard Park and the nice small beach so we went there since it was close.
Also three miles south was Wall Springs so we also took them there. Wall Spring back in the early 1900's was a place where people would come to bathe in the mineral spring water. It had a pool that the water running into and out of all the time and a nice large hotel for those that came. A very popular place to come to at the time.
Nancy, Vicki and Rebekah looking over the rail at the fish just like the sea gulls were doing.
We had a nice time with them visiting as we always do.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
