Safe trip

Well I was worrying about being able to pull out of Joe's driveway with the extra steep incline.

I did all that for nothing, the big Ford V-10 made it without any trouble what so ever and after connecting the car we were on out way.

It wasn't long before heading up over the Smokie  Mountains.
The road ways were lined with cars of the mountain hikers.

I was really surprised to see the amount of elk out in the fields in the middle of the day.

Nancy and I thought it looked like there were 50-70 of them.

While Gatlinburg had the streets full of people on the streets Cherokee was very spare

One of the restaurants that was open was Paul's  Nancy and I have dined a few times.

After going on and spending overnight in a lot of Walmart we arrived at Nick's on Thursday.
We enjoying time here  with him and Joan.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Cold, good time with children

It was 33 degrees when we woke up at 7:00am this morning.

Son Joe and I went into Pigeon Forge the other day.

Yes that is a billboard.

They want you to know in this place where you can spend your money to have fun, shop and eat.
They are not like other towns and cities getting rid of the billboards

I for one don't like the self check-outs.  They are lined up and only two of the other ten lanes with cashiers are open.
Wonder when Walmart is going to charge you for parking while shopping?

Nancy enjoying time with the great grand kids.

Joe and Mishell decided have an early Thanksgiving dinner while we were here.
and I will be leaving sometime this week.

We had a big dinner with sixteen people eating the dinner.  Of course was plenty leftovers for everyone.
Sorry no photos,  Hey with all that food who has time to take pictures.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Dandridge, Tennessee

We arrived at Joe and Mishell's around 3:00 pm last Sunday.
When I saw how to pull into and down his driveway, I was kinda hesitant.
Yeah it is steep like on a 12 degree angle.
I'm wondering if I will have trouble pulling out.

The country here is very nice with old barns.

And hay all rolled up waiting for the winter time to feed live stock.

Yesterday evening with some grandchildren and the great grandchildren waiting for the dogs to be put on the grill.

So son Joe put them on, not wanting the little one to wait to long.

Nancy and Mishell waiting for the fire build.

It wasn't very long to wait and the little ones sticking the marshmallows in the fire.
We have been having a good time here with Joe his wife Mishell.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
