Homosassa Springs Wild Life Park

Tuesday Vicki wanted to go to the Homosassa Wild Life Park. She was there a few years back and wanted see it again so that's where we went.
When you go in the visitor's center you get your ticket to board the boat to get to the Wild Life Park.
This is a nice twenty minute ride on the river where you see the different birds, trees, turtles and maybe an alligator or two.
If you don't see an alligator in the river don't worry you can see a bunch of them in their den at the park after getting off the boat.
We saw the river otters swimming and playing also coming out and having a bite to eat. We spend some time watching and enjoying them.
Next in line were the white tail deer which we like to see but we like to see them out in the wild rather than caged up.  All these animals are here because they have been hurt or here since they we very young and will not be released back out in the wild.
Here is the Florida Panther it is for sure a large cat with such large paws.
We got to the bird cage at feeding time you can see this one has a small fish in its beak.

There are several different owls this one with ears you can't see.
Then this one with the ears sticking up.  They do look like wise old owls.
Nancy liked this two birds best of all the birds we saw.
Here is a red fox where the sign in front of the den says there are not many of these in Florida.

We had a very good time in the park and after getting out it was time to eat.
So I stopping in Spring Hill where we went to the Mariner Restaurant to eat.  Nancy and I like to go here when we are in the area because it is a Family run restaurant with goof food and good prices.

Folks its cold in sunny Florida.  This morning when we got up it was brrrr 29* that is too cold for us.

I don't know what the plans are for today I guess its another one of those "we will just let it happen days.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
