An Indian and a Gypsy

It was back to the John Chesnut Park for our walking yesterday.  First we took the walk on the new boardwalk that is around part of the lake.

Looks like the woodpeckers were busy looking for bugs in this old tree that had been there for a while.

There were some beautiful flowers along the boardwalk.  After walking a couple of trails and seeing alligators of various sizes it was time to come back to the house.

I just have to mention the good country supper Nancy fixed me wednesday. I mean it was one of those slap you in the face and leave you grinning meals.  A nice thick slice of fried ham,pinto beans,fried taters,green onions,cabbage cooked in oil,pickle beets and corn bread,yum yum boy was that good.
